Thank you, although I got into a car accident about two months ago. A deer hit my 2005 toyota matrix and it was totaled :( But it did keep me safe and I made it out scratch free
Dude, I have the same car and love it. One easter egg, which you may have already found in that car, is that you can fold the front passenger seat forward flat. There's a little leaver on both sides of the bottom of the backrest that you can pull to do that. When you do that, it creates an almost flat surface from the back all the way to the front and you can put long stuff on there.
I had an 09 Matrix S 2.4l I bought new and owned from 2008-2016, had the piston ring issue where it ate a little over a quart of oil every 1k miles. Toyota offered to fix it and put me on the waiting list for a new factory top end rebuild. Ended up driving it for a year got tired of waiting and bought something else. Fortunately for you, you don't have the 2.4 motor in your gen 1. That being said, even with the issue the car kept on trucking. These cars, both the gen 1 and 2 are great Canadian made Toyotas. I enjoyed driving my manual 2.4l. Very practical.

@@rodrickh9571 I absolutely would, unfortunately there aren’t many in my car market. They all got destroyed by the harsh canadian winters like all other cars 🥲
The engines found in them could work forever tho!
I’m from Canada it’s tough buying one without rust
@@rodrickh9571 Try and avoid the awd model, typically speaking the awd models have they rear subframe rusted through
I have the 5 speed manual
Nice nice, are you enjoying it so far?
@@FreestyleNath best car ever man, got it in 2016 for 6000k 163000km’s at 2022 she’s at 240000 and the only major thing I got done was the new clutch $1100. I moved 90% of my apartment in this thing.
I like your car. Good job
Mtb Jumps Thank you, I really appreciate your positive feedback 👍🏼 Tbh it could fit your mountain bike super easily🤙🏼 #notsponsored
These are good solid cars . Be careful with the ones with the Yamaha motors because they have bad oil pumps that grenade when you over rev em .
Im actually looking for one
They seriously are, it lasted me very well until I got into an accident... A deer hit the car unfortunately when I was driving (it was a write off) and now I drive a 2009 pontiac vibe which is pretty much the same car but newer model
With Rock Auto BMW are very cheap to fix. Just FYI.
I prefer having a car that I don’t have to put expenses into it, but that’s good that there is other alternatives for people that have BMW
How many miles were on the vehicle, when you made the purchase?
138 000 Miles on it when I bought it
Just bought a 2005 Xr 120k for 2900 💪🏽
Now that’s an amazing deal!🔥
And etc • oh yeah we also repaired & etc lol oh myyyyyyy
🤣
Does your matrix shake when you were at a stoplight in drive I can an 09 and I have to put it in neutral at a stoplight
Do you mean when it iddles the car shakes a lot? If so it did once but a oil change fixed the problem, it was idling at 500rpm and it felt like if was gonna stall, but once I got the oil replaced with some synthetic one and a synthetic filter it fixed my idling problem and now it idles at 600-800rpm and now it doesn’t shake anymore
@@FreestyleNath ok thank you
@@bobes91 No problem 😄
check the engine seats
Whats up man how is it going its been a while
good good and you? 😄
2:19 absolutely true. Screw American junk cars Japanese is the way to go. Honda or Toyota
Toyota's design philosophy seems to be "What if an idiot is driving it?"
Aux cord?
2003-2008 Toyota Matrix do not come with aux port
Do you know any solution for this
@@obieonesteph7675 FM Transmitter is your best bet (easy solution). Audio quality won’t be the greatest but will be good.
Best solution is to replace the audio unit with an aftermarket one that has carplay/android auto or bluetooth.
I personally used an FM Transmitter, can also use CD disk worse to come if you know how to burn a disk.
Doesn’t even have the 5 speed weak
Really?
😂
