- How to remove and install the rear wheel on a Triumph Speed Triple
In this easy-to-follow Step-by-Step video, I show you the correct way to remove the rear wheel from a Triumph Speed Triple and re-install it. I also show you how to remove and replace the rear mudguard.
I've been wanting to swap the factory Triumph rear hugger with a brand new Carbon mudguard, but to get to the fixings the rear wheel has to come off, so I ask my friends at Motorcycle Tyres UK Ltd to help me so I can show you how the professionals do it. I also show you how easy it is to replace the Radiator Covers on a Speed Triple.
Thank you to Motorcycle Tyres UK Ltd for their help.

Thanks for making this so clear and concise!
I try because that’s how I like it! Thanks to Mark at Motorcycle Tyres UK for slowly taking me through the process! 😁
Hi Phil looking great your bike , the carbon looks great especially on the black triple, and like yourself I always love to get cleaning around the bike when some parts are removed .👍😁 make me wish I still had my triple as sold it last year .🙁😁
Hi! Thanks for the kind comments. I’m hoping to do a couple more things to Speedy but it will have to wait for now. You have to clean if given the opportunity, it’s daft not too! 🤪 What did you replace your Triple with? 🤔
Hi Phil , replaced it with the 701 supermoto 😂 different style right enough and miss the triple for longer distance travel !! I still have the old trusty xr400 so maybe a third bike is needed and it will be another triple for sure 👍👍thanks for reply . Is yours for sale 🤣🤣👍
@@wattie1050 ahh yes, I remember now! I bet that’s a lot of fun! 😁 Speedy isn’t up for sale I’m afraid, maybe one day but I’m loving it too much atm! 😁👍 Stay safe and thanks as always for your support! 👊
Hi Phil, good vid, I remove my wheels, on my 2018 RS model, every year, for a good strip down and clean! it’s black. Picked up a couple of nice tips there! I have carbon everywhere. Including the tail unit and heat shield! Looks great! Cheers for the vid.👍🏻
Hi! Thanks for watching and for your kind comments. I’m pleased to hear you found the video helpful! Your bike sounds awesome. 😁👍

Hi Phil , looks exactly the same procedure to remove and replace the rear wheel on my Tiger Sport 2013 , your bike is looking great and now even better with the extra carbon bits 👌
Hi Dale, Oh really, that’s interesting! Thanks for the love, I’m really pleased with how Speedy is looking, I’d like to do a few other things but they will have to wait for now! 😁
thank you for this video. i plan to replace the mud guard/flap on my 1200rr with a carbon one just like yours. this video will come in handy.
You’re very welcome, I’m pleased the video helps give you some ideas. Let me know how you get on! 😁👍
Loving the videos Phil, stunning bike you have there.
Thanks so much, I really appreciate the encouragement. I do love my Speedy, and try to look after her! 😁👍
Very straight forward thanks, do you also have a video to change the rear brake disc?
Thanks so much. No I don’t at the moment I’m afraid! 😬
Do not do this procedure with the bike in gear!
Thanks for your comment Why shouldn’t the bike be in gear? Genuine question.
@@TheAdventuresofPhilJones can damage the gears. The workshop manual says to perform this with the engine in neutral
@@spawn90761 Thanks for your advice, I’ve seen it done both ways, I’ll ask the boys for their response. 👍
