How do you test whether the PIC is faulty without installing new parts? Would a working PIC allow the board to power up with the power supply or output mosfets removed?
As long as you see pulses from the PIC for the power supply drive IC then 9 times out of 10 the PIC is OK. You do not have to have any transistors installed to see this. The very first thing I do for any Brazilian board is to cut out all of the transistors in the blown section then pulse the remote to check for the PIC output. The other output to check is for the 40khz to IC1 the 22v aux. power supply drive IC but this is rarely ever an issue.
I have question I have a Taramp bass 8k . I was taking the speakers cable off the amp and I forgot to turn off the radio and whit the Allen key it made contact to a ground screw and it went to protection mode. Any idea what burnt off in the amp?
Yo todd!! If u can will you put the repair of the ruthless on video up please?? Those are really nice from what I've seen so far 😊 again into the breach w the tar amps repair lol
I have the same amplifier and everything is good on the traitors output When I turn on the amplifier it turns on okay When you put audio signal It will start clipping with a little bit of signal You can barely hear the speaker You can hear a Distorted sound frequency

Thank Joetato for the price increase and the “wonderful” economy right now. I love spending $8.00 for a dozen eggs! Thanks for sharing your knowledge in these videos.
Hey thank you for explaining about the way the p ic works and thank you for your time explaining everything else keep up the good work Sir 👍 👍 🙏
Thank you! The PIC is one item that is missed quite often when diagnosing an amp for a quote.

Thank you sir! You're a lifesaver
Perry does have an updated version, now with a "Class 9"
A class 9? Now I wonder which design that one is?

When the output terminal shorts to the heatsink it damages the output section and in a lot of cases the feedback and DC offset circuit.

Oh ya, I will admit the Ruthless board is NICE and I will give my input on it once I clear it with the owner of Ruthless.
Hi , please value of c27 , md8000 2 ohm rev r00, thx.
2.7nF 50v 5%
I think I figured out my problem but just to double check isn't .001 a short when reading a transistor
Yes, .001 across any of the 3 legs is a short or most likely a short.

You have an issue with the output section or the pre-amp.
@E'burg Amplifier Repair But I wonder why the clipping and protection is so sensitive to this low volume
@@hardbody_Santiago96 Because there is an issue in the output section of the amplifier.
These another way that I can contact you

Thank you! Unreal right? Have you seen the cost of the Si8244bb ICs? It's like they are made of gold.
Yeah it was his fault for the all the dead chickens
