Really exceptional insights and fact based context setting. Exactly the opposite to what politicians and the media provide. It puts so much into perspective and for that matter how we are all being dragged into wars without justification and now have enemies of our own making as a consequence. Charmer Johnson’s books complement his books extremely well.

For me, this is one of your very finest interviews. I was fascinated from the get go. The SAS glory book stuff is ..ok, but as such it's all 'much of a sameness'.; former operators out to cash in now they're days are done..I'm an 'old-timer', and think that special forces should remain exactly that: Special; shrouded in complete secrecy and absolute silence ad finitum. The BBC TV series, 'Who dares', made me cringe. It made a mockery of the SAS..Little wonder that many former SAS men pre- Iranian Embassy siege are pissed..But hey! That's just my op. However, the information and disclosures that Mr Bergan provides us with is essential matter, that, as you say, "Everybody should go out and buy", so that historical parallels can be seen, and more readily understood...

People, human psychology is much simpler than he’s making it. Humans are animals. The same techniques you use with a monkey, chimp, gorilla, Dog, cat, lion, tiger etc. that’s the way you have to treat fellow humans.-- Perception is reality! So you may be kicking the dog everyday or maybe you get near it’s food or in its face. You can turn a absolute sweet heart into a mean, aggressive, killer; Simply by having the dog perceive your gonna take it’s food! ---- So this applies to humans as well. If you twist arms, bully, intimidate, invade, or give the perception your a occupier or take there oil. you can make a nice human a mean, aggressive, killer just by getting in that territory or if they perceive us to be a threat --
if you look at the USA / Middle Eastern /Libyan peoples view point. Both sides literally believe “we are the good guys defending our land and we both believe the other side is radicalized” .-- (Any logical person knows, if tommy gets shot by 1 bullet then billy and bob accuse each other of shooting tommy. We know both of them can’t be right! Somebody is lying! -- same thing with this. They think we are “radicalized” and we think they are “radicalized” somebody is in denial or lying. -- our biggest problem is I don’t see Afghans, Iraqis, Syrians, Libyans in the USA invading, occupying, taking our oil, or overthrowing our government. -- the most important thing is look at it from the other side and ask “Would i be fine with them occupying the USA?” The answer is “Hell No”. So Americans just need to understand. They most likely will perceive us to be a threat and just like a cute little puppy dog, That dog will eventually turn into a monster. So we just need understand what we are setting ourselves up for.

If the West had offered the poppy growers the best price for their crop and sold it to the pharmaceutical industry at a profit we could’ve saved thousands of lives and billions of dollars. Also we could have given the farmers back up if they were under Taliban pressure. Every Afghan has a weapon.

What right wing terrorists? Is Bergen is referring to those who engaged in Jan 6 riot? I wish the supposed right wing terrorists theory could be objectively investigated and reported by news media,. But I would rather the media investigated and reported with an overall look at purported terrorists in America. Just who are actually engaging in terrorism in US? What is terrorism and who gets to define it? I'm not interested in media's opinions but in knowing the actual truth.

Terrorism is whatever group or country dares to resist the west and colonialism. Al Qaeda or daesh or Russia or China or right wingers if you're on the left or left wingers if you're on the right or whatever. What sets apart al Qaeda is the scale of the attacks themselves. I cannot think of anything that shook the west to it's core like 9/11 did. It made the west aware of it's vulnerability.

I love your interviews. However, Osama, formerly Usama, formerly Tim Osman (CIA) was not at the compound during the raid, he was in Iran, where he had been for many years. It was supposed to be a political 'trophy kill' for Obama and the real reason his administration transferred the billions in cash to Iran! They were paid to relocate him to the compound in the village of Abadabad from Tehran, however they did not. VP Biden was responsible for giving the order for the cover up, when ISI trained paramilitaries engaged and destroyed Seal Team 6's helo at the designated waypoint. The truth needs to come out and it WILL. Travesty. This is why Osama was not captured and brought back to the States to face trial and instead dubiously buried out at sea. No trace. ST6 were murdered to insure none of them spoke. "Dead men tell no tales". Peter Bergen is a spook and feeding you shit to keep the lid down. Also evident by his pushing of the 'right wing terrorist' narrative. Most 'contractors' are 'journalists'.
