I knew Jeff from Berklee - we were there at the same time and hung out in the same crowd. He had zero ego and a great sense of humor. At the time (late 1970s) none of us knew how talented he was. He never boasted of his ability. He was simply "one of the gang". We only learned of his monstrous talent and worldly connections post-Berklee.
Jeff Andrews was a song bird! Always melodic in his ideas and very rhythmic precise. Nevaer a mistake. As we say in danish: "Den sidder altid lige i skabet"! R.I.P Jeff
Did you know Jeff drove a limo in LA for Rodney Dangerfield? He said he was just like his comedic persona in real life..."let's smoke some weed and find some broads"
sorry to answer after many years, but you are wrong. Jeff uses 6 strings, strings B and C. You should know that he is very efficient on 4-string bass. Because of this, he doesn't use strings B and C much, but they use them too. (I had the chance to see the full concert).
For real? If you don't mind me asking you know what kinda stuff he was using? Was is just weed or other hard shit? Was it any contributing factor in his death? His death seemed untimely to me. He was a phenomenal player!
@@TheJameskidwell Well I can tell you this much I lived in the same building as Jeff he was my neighbor. The security guards in the building found his body from the smell that he left from death. I know the local dog walker that scored his heroin. Nobody seems to know this but Jeff died of heroin overdose probably from the fentanyl. He was using up to the very end.

Toujours aussi énorme !
Quel phrasé
... that was brutal, Jeff.
the song is Cole Porter´s '' I love you ''
is there the entire clip?
And God told him: « you will BE » and Jeff smiled: « i will bop »
😂
"Jaco 'Dis, Jaco Dat!" LOL!!!
indeed he never touch the low B and the high C strings. He doesn't need them: four strings, twenty frets, that's what we need.

I wish people would stop trying others how to enjoy things 😂 wanna play a 10 string fretless?! Go for it. Stop stifling the imagination

@@TheJameskidwell Whether it’s true or not Jeff is the one that told me that he got high before every performance because the pressure was immense.
