First of all, I spit out my water during your opening. No joke. It was awesome! Second, any flea markets near me have the exact same over priced books that you saw. It’s fun to hunt, but deflating when you just walk out shaking your head. Lastly, well done with the my comic ship pickups. At that price for silver age you can’t go wrong. The race car book was cool because it shows you’re collecting what you love. Great work my friend!
You honor me sir. I have a ton of fun making these intros. There is no greater compliment than a spit take to me.
He really did. He told everyone about it. My guy does not lie 😂
@@upnorthcomics that’s actually incredible. I’m glad people find the dumb things I think of as funny as me.
Super neat about the Formula One book. Awesome neat to see points where different hobbies/interests interlink. 3/3 of awesome videos so far!
I love finding things like that. There are so many golden and silver age books that aren’t superhero stories. Obviously I love superheroes but I’m enjoying finding what else is out there. Thank you for watching!
What you showed at the beginning of the video is exactly what I have found after a year and a half of looking. Just Youngblood and Valiant comics.
Oh a 1st appearance of Bloodsport! Turns comic over and sees a $8 price sticker. Oh nevermind!
I mean… it was around FMV but for a character I didn’t know existed until about a year ago I think I’ll wait until a serendipitous dollar bin dive.
@@LettuceComics Exactly!
Great first hunting vid! Don't give up on the antique malls - you never know when a new vendor might setup shop with great inventory or when an existing vendor brings in new books.
Hey thanks! I’m not giving up on them for sure. They shift through inventory fairly quickly in some places so there’s always new stuff. I also like looking for old newspapers, photographs, models, schematics, and other things that catch my eye so walking around antique shops is never a waste of time.
Great Video my Friend 🧡
At 4:39 Captain America Sentinel of Liberty #9 is the first time Sam Weilds the Sheild
Your comic knowledge astounds me. Thanks for giving me another book to add to my list! Definitely want to pick that one up.
🤣 the opening
I’m a child who should have his wifi router confiscated.
Just subbed. Love the chill comic hunt video! Never been to that place in Charlotte, I’ll have to check it out sometime
Thanks so much for checking me out! Sleepy post has a massive warehouse with different stalls. One of them is a comic stall but there are comics hidden around in others. Theres a connected building that has vinyl, books, and a comic and toy room. Definitely check it out when you get a chance!
Good job! Definitely the typical antique mall experience, but at least there was a lot to look at. My favorite book you saw was actually the Captain Canuck. Love the Grand Prix pickup and explanation!
As I was going over the footage, that is the one I wish I would have picked up but maybe it will still be there when I go back. I noticed a lot of the same books this time that I did the last time I was there.
What an epic opening 😂 so fun to catch your videos I to be able to look forward to em each week.
What an awesome compliment! Thanks so much man!
I better see that formula one setup. Maybe in a leather jacket with a bit white scarf and goggles? I'm just a few short steps away from fulfilling my Launchpad McQuack fantasy and I think you're just the man to get me there.
You get the scarf and helmet, I’ll bolt a side car on, and I’ll let you… shift gears for me 😉😂
Great video, I’ve been wanting to do some videos like this myself. Unfortunately most antique stores are pretty much like the one you went to. I will say I have an antique store near me that has a huge dollar comic section with some nice titles so not all of them are bad.
I completely understand. I live about two hours away from that place. There are only a few antique shops in my area and most of them are completely dry as far as comics go. I will say that making these videos has been super fun and you won’t regret it if you give it a shot!
Love the craftsmanship of your video’s. Can’t go wrong with the background music you chose. Wants me to kick my feet up with a nice drink and relax! Well done!
Oh wow you actually said “craftsmanship.” Thank you so much!
YO! Lettuce in the wild?! Wow we really are going to have to stop telling everyone we are remote collectors 🤣 awesome haul man. Antique malls can be a bust sometimes, glad you found some comics to enjoy. Thanks for sharing 👍
Why pigeon hole ourselves? Any way I can get cool books is fine by me!
I've never had a great experience at the Vendor Mall's here... if they have something I want, its normally over priced!
Subbed up!
Thank you so much man!
New sub. Dope vid.
👑 you dropped this, king
Awesome pick-ups! Keep getting what YOU love, that's the fun of this crazy hobby. For every 10 trips hunting you may find that 1 that knocks your socks off and makes it worth it. Great vidio opener, keep it up man!❤
Thanks so much! I know what you mean. The reason I keep coming back to this store is because I found a Cap 600 signed by Brubaker and Epting here for 5 bucks. They’ve earned my business haha
Good pick ups. Congratulations. Is Cap all you collect? Thanks.
I’m going to use this in a Q&A video if you don’t mind! But between you and me… no.
@@LettuceComics Don't mind at all. I think myself and others would be interested in seeing.
Just subbed you, saw you from all sorts of words
Thanks man! I assume you mean from the stream I did with him. I really appreciate you coming over and checking me out!
@@LettuceComics yup, the villain ranking stream
Awesome pick ups! Are you heading to Heroes Con?
I’m planning on it! I’ve been to the mini-con but never the big one.
@@LettuceComics I'll be there too.
Awesome! If you see me come on over and say hi! I’ll do the same.
