nice vlog . the start of the video is were i learned to swim in the 60's, when the population of Saint Paul's Bay was only 3,000, and the place was much rural with scattered farmlands. Totally unrecognisable.
ST PAUL'S BAY - AT LAST 🌊 ⛱️ ⛵. Better late than never 😂. First of all THANKS for your nice introduction - 'respect' is mutual 🙏 You started from Xemxija border and went up 'run down' Vecca Hill where SPB Council surprisingly have their office - unbelievable😮. We lived in the part you liked -Main Church/Tower/"Simenta" area. There's not much left of the 'fishing village atmosphere I grew up in anyhow. Village festa is "Our Lady of Sorrows" (last Sunday in July). That little chapel on SPB/Bugibba border is dedicated to "St Paul Shipwreck" . Look forward to Bugibba/Qawra through your lens . Great "Original" series 🏆 👏 Thanks Alex & Chris 🚶🚶🎥 👏 Cheers 👍🇲🇹❤️🇪🇺
OMG. I am familiar with your area. Auntie and family lived on Tower Road near famous tower. Nana and nanu lived on High Street down the street from main church. I remember their beautiful feasts. SPB is amazing. I have wonderful memories. We will be staying in SPB during vacation
Thanks for taking us to St. Paul's Bay, Alex!! St. Paul's Bay is where my mom and siblings were born. Nana and Nanu lived in SPB also and managed a grocery store on High Street during WWII.
While I was born in Mosta and we lived there for a few years, I loved being in SPB near the water. Zia Maria and her family lived on Tower Road near the lookout Tower. Amazing place for sure.
@@user-MostaMama . Family with Grocer near Tower were the "lovely" BARTOLO family. I knew them well. Joe Bartolo (RIP) ran the 'Simenta Bar/Restaurant " in this video @ 21:00. Cheers 👍
That was my turf for 8 years. I love St Paul's Bay. I can't believe I am gone from Malta for over a year now. Oh, you just passed by my road at 7min 11, the hill on the right Triq Ix-Xaghra Tal- Bandieri. I miss my house
its a lovely place st pauls i used to go to school there "simenta" that beach front you went to opposite the school does some amazing food.. parking is appaling now days in st pauls bay though and its a total nightmare takes hours to find somewhere
Nice to have your video for more than 15 mins and joined by Chris. In the UK, each council has a website where we can report fly tipping, etc, even leaves blocking the road drains after storms. That hole was so dangerous. Looking forward to seeing Friday's video xx
We just returned from our holiday in Malta. I fell and hurt my leg so I did not go on our tours. We used a service to get around, Bolt, easy to use but I suggest loading the app before your trip to be sure you can load your credit card as it may be difficult to do there. I did enjoy the weather as it was warm, not hot and less crowded than it would have been in summer. Rain was mostly in evening and night. The people are kind and very accommodating. Wear anything you want, you are on holiday. Enjoy.
At 15:50 you passed by the best thing St. Paul's Bay has to offer, Trattoria del Nonno!! Superb family restaurant with great staff, good wines & meat and a stunning interior. You really should go ther once, you will love it.
St. Paul, with the districts of Buggiba and Qawra, is a tourist ghetto without the typical Maltese flair. Only hotels, restaurants and bars in modern buildings. If you want to experience the real Malta with the typical houses, small pubs and shops, you should book a hotel in Valletta, Sliema, Mellieha or San Gilian.
I bought a watchtower souvenir on a visit in 1989 and when I came back in 2022. I couldn’t find any watchtowers souvenirs, perhaps they are no longer made!
@AlexinMalta Please give me some suggestion what should we do in st.pauls bay. We will stay there from 10 November to 12 November 2024, and 1 day in selima. so it’s huge time to explore the island. 11 Nov 2024, we take and full day round cruise trip from st. Pauls bay to Gozo
St. Paul's Bay is beautiful Alex! I am loving watching these videos. Try and visit Paula....my cousins own and run Traffic Lights Cafe there. Also Tarxien if you can and of course Mosta! Love you Alex🥰💗
I'm surprised that St Paul's bay is the most populated,I thought it might have been St Julian's or Sliema as the traffic in these areas is insane as opposed to the St Paul's/ Buggiba area which seems quieter
We are going to Malta first week of the next month. We’re decided to stay in st.pauls bay for 2 days, and 1 day in Selima. I don’t know is it wise decision or not. May be st.pauls bay is not nice for stay?
I am currently in Malta on a tourist visa. I would like to know if it is possible for me to work here or if my employer will need to process a work visa for me. I am from a third world country.

Cheers 👍🇲🇹❤️🇪🇺
I don’t think so ….

Sliema???? You mean ibiza, bugibba still has maltese charm.
Thanks, Alex, for taking longer on your stream today. I love it!
Yes, it is Selmun. Closed, but beautiful from the outside. Worth a visit and a walk. Further down the road you get to Fort Campbell.
Hardly been at St Paul’s Bay loves those old houses thanks for these Videos
Xemxija, Qawra and Bugibba are all St. Paul's. It is like in Zurrieq with Nigret and Bubaqra.
Thanks for showing us St Paul’s Bay Alex, gonna be staying in Buġibba though so tomorrow will be the video to watch ❤
Was in malta last week of September and walked from the aquarium to the ferry terminal over 7 days. Loved every part 👍
I think I saw 2 trees in the entire video :)
Beautiful
Hello from Michigan! Thank you Alex & Chris for the tour. I sound like a broken record but I love all your videos. ❤️🇲🇹

Awesome, thanks, Alex. We love St. Paul's Bay.
We love Bugibba, too. Can't wait for the live stream tomorrow too. Thanks again!

Alex is from Kazakhstan
hello from scotland
24-10-2024.
I designed that wooden promenade, and other stuff in 1990, that's why it looks like other village.
I was living there but now l am living at birgu l love st paul's bay

I'm a foreigner and bought a house in Qawra. I don't know if it's a wise choice. It seems that the school resources here are not rich enough.
Thanks for video Alex. Can you go to the Marsascala or Marsaxlokk also?
Good job bro ❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤, from Lagos Nigeria 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬

Have lost counts of how many times i walked here....last time 2012..memories of all kinds. Los of photos
Verytime you make a video, it seens that no body lives in Malta. Does the island have few population?
Kind next year will donate 200usd, legend.
Please note that St.Paul's Bay is a village and not a city.
Ssshhh, don't tell people about Simenta, it can be hard enough to get a table there in good weather as it is....damn, I've said too much.
I live
Watch your steps everywhere you walk could be dog poo 💩… so disgusting
