Terraforming planets that have life already would be an ethical question argued among humans .

And yet look how colonisation has affected continents on Earth with pre-existing societies.

That obviously happened loooong before those ethical questions were raised/debated. Or do you honestly think some 16th century conquistador had many concerns about terraforming already life bearing planets.

Depend on how many they are in cosmos, how many can be made from death worlds, how difrends they are and % of planets who end up creating sentient animals. .

    1. Was this written on some sort of bet to cram as many meaningless DEI buzzwords as possible into a story?
    2. There is no direct link to the original story/post in the description (something generally considered bad form)

seemed that way. First couple minutes I heard like 3 to 4 repeats of diversity and inclusion. it's kind of cringe.

Well, there is no story if the different parties involved do not want different things. While not as bad as these new 'get along' -style stories generally are - full of silly little conventions, political initiatives or something similar, but in different setting - writing actually engaging stories you will have to insert an actual conflict of different needs and wants between characters. Oh yea, and describe events between set characters to take the story ahead instead of just over all explanation about what happen.
Starts to make me kinda bored when it feels like the writer is blue eyed and wears pink spectacles too all at the same time, not realising that they need to be able to be cruel enough to put their characters through a ringer and hardships untold and awful events they just cant avoid, cause let's face it sometimes the opposition or enemy will NOT give any other opportunity - that's what is required to actually generate a story. The job of a writer is not to treat the characters softly and gently and make them succeed without pain, losses and mistakes. The very reason why old children's stories from ages ago had rather cruel parts in stories - to prepare those kids for the realities of life. You don't do that by forbidding them to climb that tree. Not that these are kid's stories being online anyhow.
It really is simple, it's frustrating to hear attempts at stories that sound like propaganda for 'if all only try we can get along' -club. You have to realise that those who do put hardship, true, raw and inconsiderate sort of stuff into their stories, never mind how horrible - real world has them beat, at some turn, ALWAYS. And there for 'do good' concept is like saying - close your eyes and it will be fine.
Think of this for a while. Finland has very high willingness among it's population to defend the country arms at hand, because the country is next to Russia and there is prior experience of getting attacked from there over out again, even before the WWII era. That means - while being conscription country - that most of those conscripts are absolutely willingly there to train for the moment it takes, making them also if needed better soldiers than if it was otherwise. During the Cold War era, the Soviet Russian KGB established a 'peace organisation' in Finland, in attempt to reduce this willingness to defend one's country, by attempting to replace it with idealism of pacifism, because less willing people to defend their country, aren't as hard to conqueror if there would be a war between 'east and west'. Their very plans where it comes to war, should there be one between rest of Europe (or NATO) is and has been even since before WWII to take over in Finland - we have always known that - even found actual proof of it when certain archives were momentarily opened after USSR fell in 1990. Its still the same, cause they had certain military assets north and cross the border and the region is geopolitically / strategically important. Now the peace organisation did not work out - lol. But my point here is that - not all 'do good' ideas even are for good ends, where things come to reality. Neither is spreading the idea that all can be solved by just sticking to trying peacefully - because there is somewhere that entity who won't allow it and will make the use of your attempts at it to get one over you. That is the REALITY of how things are weather we want so or not. Now, my example here is very true and real. If it were turned into a story - which story would sound more plausible and like an actual narrative - as in having something for the meat of the story? A plan veiled as good intentions failing because people know better due long past experiences and some of the truths being found out or... Success by head start at doing all right is - dull. The latter would not even cross the curb to become news on a day there were no other news from anywhere in the world.
