    If the configuration manager in SOLIDWORKS is used correctly, it can clarify and clean up your complicated projects. In this video, we learn how to use create exploded views in SOLIDWORKS, including linear and radial movements, and multi-step exploded views. Multiple exploded views can be made, and they are all accessible through the configuration manager in your assembly. We also learn how to animate an exploded view in SOLIDWORKS and a collapsed animation using the animation wizard. Basic motion study modification such as timing and part selection is also covered using the timeline and time bar.

    If you have two different explode views, how can you choose which one the motion study uses?

    • @goengineer
      @goengineer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello kerguule, the animation wizard will use the exploded view of the active configuration.

      Just explode the view you want, before clicking on the animation wizard in the animation.

    exporting my motion study as gltf file into blender key frames are there but its not smooth between frames it just seems to jump keyframes, is there a setting I need to adjust for this?

    • @chaddrobertson5805
      @chaddrobertson5805 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It might help to increase the frame rate in the motion study settings. I think the default is set to eight frames per second. I have never exported into blender though, so this might not solve your issue.

      @@chaddrobertson5805 thanks for getting back to me, I actually solved it in blender, by default the motion keys exported from SW are flat and by converting them to smooth curves solved everything.

    If I wanted to import the file to Visualize and render it, how would I go about doing that? What file type would I need? How do I render an animation?

    • @goengineer

      Here is a starting point for you getting the explode into visualize goeng.io/Export-explode

    Is it possible to get a rendering of this animation?

    • @goengineer
      @goengineer  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can save out an MP4 of the animation right in the animation menu, but if you want higher quality you would need to move into the Visualize or Composer.
