I really appreciate the opportunity when you ask if anybody can spot the issue. That's super helpful because I pause the video and have a bitting of a think about it. I don't know of another channel that does this and it can be instrumental in helping to make connections and figure things out. Thanks. Thanks for another educational video. I have come to genuinely enjoy your casual disregard for screws as the bounce and flounder across the table :D
Thanks for this video and explaining how the pin returns back. My guns pin started to get stuck and not coming back fully after it gets a little bit use and gets hot, guess I need to clean the reed valve.
Got a nail gun thats firing intermittently, firing pin not going back i thought it was the top o ring but no joy, will check the reed valve next thanks for the tip 👍
How important is threadlock on rebuild , watched all your pin gun videos 👍 , some you heat to break the threadlock seal , some you don't ? I've seen rebuilds with super strong red thread lock yet it's a small screw in an alluminium head, you normally heat to stop the threads getting stripped , what is the recommended threadlock to use or is it not neccessary , your tutorials are by far the best hands on videos going that I've ever found
Yeah I noticed that too - it works just like a two stroke engine. Cobra petrol breakers have the same set up, and they are basically a motorbike engine with a moving head.
I got to wonder if that was a mistake or intentional. So many mechanics and others sabotage things so they can keep in work unlike you, Dean, who helped us all to understand the way things really should be and you are very appreciated for being honest and respectable, dear brother. Keep up the good work. I want to use my phone sitting in the stand horizontally, but lately your videos are going vertical. Apparently others are having the same thing happen no I don't know if it's intentional or if it's just us.
That was a subtle fault. It makes me wonder if it's a new design or perhaps a problem batch of that plastic part. It seems that ther people have seen something similar. Well done for helping this customer, he clearly needs this tool right away. Will you be send ING a note to DeWalt about this?
Been following you for a while Dean. I wondered if you could help me, I've got an impact driver I've had from new, but all the labels have worn away. The clamshell on both sides has split, It takes the old square push in LI-ion batteries. I was hoping you might be able to narrow down the series number for me, so I can get a replacement. Also would it be possible to swop it for a clamshell that takes the slide batteries? If you have somewhere I could send pictures to help, let me know. I'm also on Linkedin. Thanks in anticipation.
Hiya, I have one of these guns and the LED flashes normally until you press the trigger then I get a long red and long green flash... Any thoughts. I had just given the gun a clean.

Similar set up to a 2T motocross bikes Reed valve. Had a good few in my time.

Trying out a lil Skil model drill today huh! No Bosch drill today? Im sure you have quite a collection of tools to use regularly.
Brilliant stuff Dean. Have you ever repaired plumbing press tools?

Easy repair all the best
Nice one Dean
Why you always test after you repair
I have to agree. Stop the portrait video. I watch on a TV screen, I can't rotate it, anyone using their phone can....
50% chance of getting it the wrong way up, Cheers
