this is deep! maybe i'm reading into it but the video is so intriguing and explain the lyrics so well for me. Things we think feed us and give us joy can often become things that bring death. Things that seem to be fruitloops may in actuality be maggots, snakes, tarantulas, etc...i loved this! and all done in classic matthew mole style

In my opinion I would say that the meaning behind this music video is power and frustration within a relationship with so much purple in the music video I can only deduce that’s what he is depicting? As for the cereal being “breakfast” most important meal of the day, maybe is saying we sometimes want a simple solution to a problem or argument but things come out the closet and it ends up poisoning or hurting the other person. The lyrics are the silver lining to this menace. “ I wish that I could tell you why it doesn’t get easy, To give away the part that makes me love you completely” for me it means that it’s hard to break down the walls you build up after you get hurt and let someone back in again but you try 💜
