It’s hard because both are sorta creepy looking with their faces. I could see Luke winning. But I can’t see bullet shooting eyes, sword mouth,flaming cheeks, and wizards in the tail being the reason.
after watching I totally agree with Andy, Luke's was great. a pikachu with flames bombs swords and wizards in it is freaking great/hilarious and is much more interesting to look at and run through than a more conventional 'chu.

For a moment there, when Ellen went for the game style button, I thought she was going to use actual yellow blocks, and win easily. Then she stuck with classic SMB, and I realized this would be a close match.
I reaaaally feel for Ellen's Pikachu plight, I thought she had the challenge seen as soon as I saw hers! I honestly think that Luke just understands Andy on a different level.

As a level Luke's was more interesting, but, like Andy said, it just didn't look as much like a Pikachu. I'd have just build a level where most of the Pikachu was a background that you run around in front of. have the arms and tail as platforms you stand on, and stuff.
Sure, it's a working level, but as Andy himself actually said, this is just caviat. Ellen's Pikachu was cute and adorable (and she actually used the red blocks for the cheeks, like a sensible person) Luke created an abomination!! D:

And nothing beats the fiery indignation of rosey cheeks than actual fire blasting cheeks. And the wizards for lightning effect was creative. I thought it was really cool too. I liked Ellen's level but thought her Pikachu was lacking

Yay catching up on the challenges and I'm still in the middle of watching Luke's Pikachu, but already I can say the flame cheeks look more like Pikachu is crying fire, which is pretty metal. 😂 Can't wait to see Ellen's.
As soon as I saw Luke's Pikachu I said sorry Ellen but Luke's got it in the bag. There's something about Luke's childish imagination that just really shines through. It made me so happy when Andy understood the flames were the rosey cheeks. I did like Ellen's level with the Pokeball but also felt her Pikachu was too simplistic. Art is about expressing yourself and making people feel. And Luke's lightning wizards made think wow that's really clever and this Pikachu is so awesome
I had to do an auditory double take when Ellen said "slopiness" because I thought she said "slow penis." I'm sure one of those wouldn't impress Andy in the judging. An anatomically correct Pikachu... ((shudders))
