519 km long greenfield expressway from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh to Siliguri in West Bengal will traverse through northern Bihar. Around 84 km of this four-lane expressway would pass through UP in Gorakhpur, Deoria and Kushinagar districts.Uttar Pradesh which is home to numerous expressway projects will get yet another expressway as the work on Gorakhpur - Siliguri Expressway has begun in the state. The land acquisition process for the 519 km long greenfield expressway connecting Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh (UP) with Siliguri in West Bengal has started in the Gorakhpur and Deoria districts of UP.

Gorakhpur se Shamli tak bhi expressway proposed hai. Koi mane na mane par deshwasio ke khoon pasine ki kamai ka sahi upyog ho raha hai, aur hamari aane wali pidhi ko ak vikasit Bharat ki saugat milegi.

is there any update regarding kolkata siliguri expressway? road widening work was going on since 2005... still in progress. now it was to be upgraded to expressway... but no updates so far... hilarious... its like Bengal is in another planet... state govt and central both are putting people of West Bengal as victim. It is one of the most busiest and strategically important road for India but it takes almost 14-17 hrs to reach Siliguri from Kolkata(575km)

second as per few months old report it was expected to pass through gopalganj , siwan and chhapra district , but in map and in your video also there is no mention of Siwan and Chhapra. So is the route alignment has been changed?

Coz otherwise instead of Siliguri it's route would deviate towards Patna
Previously two routes were shortlisted of which one route was through gopalganj and siwan but that route is not finalized instead the other route which goes through west and east champaran has been approved
