People forget that Lily lived in Australia for her younger life, so of course she's going to be tanner than she is now that she lives and works in Seoul. I don't think she lightened her skin, it's just a lifestyle change that resulted in her getting less direct sun
Honestly I think she might not have been whitewashed. When I was a lot younger I was VERY tan, now my skin is very light. The huge change was just because I stopped going to the beach as much. As a trainee i'm sure she had more time to go to parks, beaches and pools, that might explain why she looked a lot more tan back then. Whitewashing is a possibility, but let's not jump to conclusions 🤷🏻♀️
Regarding Lily she's from Australia where's it's sunny almost all the time and a lot of Australians will be tan not all but a lot and I'm pretty sure that the younger pic was before she came to JYP
ok let's be honest, unless you've seen these kpop idols irl then you would know that a lot of kpop idol's photos/videos are edited with filters to make them look lighter. And to be honest, it's a cultural thing to fit into Korea's beauty standard so i'm not going to speak up on that.
If she had a nose job, then I don't think it's a good one. Her nose looked better when she was a young child to be honest. Now it is not harmonious with her face and sticks out/droops downwards too much. Not sure if it was a nose job or just a natural change, but her nose is not the result most people want after plastic surgery.
I'm not desi, so I can't speak for them. But to be honest I didn't even know about this culture until very recently, I always associated those movements with arabic songs and belly dancer or something like that. So judging from my own perspective as an adult, I don't think it's a stretch to believe the girls werent being malicious, but instead they didnt really know. Those are wide spread movements thanks to western movies, artists and other entertainment forms that basically either inspired themselves on or ripped off from this culture for years without credit. Also many people - legit - can not do the head movements properly, it's harder than it looks, so they end up weirdly bobbing their heads. I don't think it's logical to believe a recently debuted kpop group would purposefully mock ANY culture on their own V LIVE. I'm sorry, it doesn't sound logical to me. I mean... Why? What do they gain from it other than controversy and hate?

I and my friends did that movement as kids in school while trying to copy a song choreo (Made in India by Alisha Chinai). Thanjanavur dolls (which were in every Indian house in the 90s) made this movement too, so we would copy those too. So it’s not a big deal.
