The ironic thing about the volcanic pistol is in real life it was a awful weapon, it had terrible accuracy and the specialized ammo was soo weak that on one account someone attempted to kill themselves with one and couldn't even manage that.
Easy way around the navy reload time, equip one as both sidearms, don't dual wield, swap to the other when you're empty. Buy the time you've emptied the second navy, the first one will be auto reloaded so you can just keep switching between the two.
I used to use all that you listed before this update with aim-assist. Now I switched to free aim and my load out changed as well. Also at least to me it’s hard to separate the load out and the ability cards, they go together so I list my current combo. -PVE Dual LeMat Semi Auto Shotgun Carcano (short scope) cards=PIB, Kick in butt, fool me once, unblinking eye or gunslinger PVP (only in free loam when I get attacked first) Dual Semi Auto Pistol Carcano (short scope) Rolling Block (long scope) cards=slow and steady, focus fire, fool me once, peak condition I use Springfield for hunting using PIB as it doesn’t ruin pelt double shooting games
You can't have slow and steady with focus fire. But those dual snipers and semis work well with Slow and Steady, Sharpshooter, Peak Condition, Gunslingers Choice
Doubt it'll ever happen but I'm still waiting for the day we can customize our gunbelt set ups. And I would love the option for shoulder holsters, that can be run with the belt holsters, for the option to give up a slung weapon, and carry 4 handguns. I'd be carrying sawed offs on the belt, and LeMats in the shoulders!

Call to arms loadout: - 1 navy revolver (200 rounds for 3 ammo types = 600 total rounds) - 1 Volcanic pistol (Pistol rounds are seperate from revolver rounds. So on top of the 600 revolver rounds, you have an additional 300 pistol rounds) - Evans repeater (the real stats of the evans repeater are the same as lancaster, but evans holds more rounds). - Carcano (a sniper is an absolute must in call to arms, especially with short scope) - explosives

Even if you are going for headshots, A lot of the enemies will rush into you and disrupt your ability to perform headshots, so having a weapon that's also good in bodyshots is important. Mauser and Semi are risky without PiB
After playing RDO for so long, I've come to realize that only plebs need to dual wield. It's far more effective to carry two different category of sidearms so you can get more explosive bullets and then use them one at a time so you don't waste ammo. Personally use the sawed off shotgun on one (for both incendiary and explosive rounds) and switch between revolver/pistol on the other. Combined with a repeater and a rifle as my long arms, that's 54 explosive/incendiary rounds total. Heavy PVP loadout but that's the only loadout that matters. NPCs are easy to take out. It's players that are hard.
I like the lemats more than the sawed off and a second pistol but I definitely miss having fire rounds all the time, if they'd let us put fire rounds in the lemats that would be the best gun in the game without any competition
I’m a fan of the Carcano, but I like to play the long game in PvP when it comes to sniper rifles, feel like I went through ammunition too quickly with the Carcano in Posse wars, more of a Rolling Block guy myself for a main sniper rifle.
If you are fan of revolvers, make a video on the dual revolver cocking glitch, that makes your character freeze in animation and thus make it completely useless in PVP.
Gun fun fact: The cattleman has the most accurate Hipfire and fast enough too beat a Mauser. Pvp wise it’s actually not that bad. You gotta get used to the low damage and new found accuracy. My only warning is too learn the tight spread of shots.
I mitigate the reload speed by using appropriate weapon at the appropriate range. For me, I engage close targets with shot gun first… mostly repeater shot gun or pump, then lemats for mid range or empty, then Lancaster for mid to long, all the while closing the distance on targets further away so that I can switch back lemats because now they are fully loaded again.
Dual LeMats - Despite many MANY people insisting the Navy is the better revolver, it really isn't. The 4 extra shots (3 revolver rounds, 1 grapeshot) PER revolver makes it so clutch to me. There have been so many times when I have been in situations with other players and switched to the grapeshot and be able to take them down close-range before they can rope or attack me. Dual Mausers - I don't use them as often as I used to, but for sidearms the only ones I tend to have on my horse are the Mausers and LeMats. The Mausers high-speed means you can obliterate just about anything very quickly. But the low ammo count that you can hold combined with that speed means you run out of ammo crazy fast, so I only use them sometimes. Pump shotgun - Hands down the best, most versatile shotgun of all of the shotguns in the game. I haven't found a situation where I have felt like another shotgun would have significantly improved my situation. It just handles everything. Carcano - Best sniper, no one would probably argue otherwise. Bolt Action - For general riding around, this tends to be the main long-arm I carry. In single player the reload and prime speeds make it kind of useless, but in online the higher damage, coupled with the speed you can reload it, make it better than a repeater in some situations. I like that I can use it as a standard long-gun in place of a repeater for most situations, while also being able to turn around and do some hunting, and not fiddle with either having to chase my horse to swap out, or fiddle with my weapon load-out in general Litchfield - Well, kind-of. I love the Lancaster, but lately I have been using the Litchfield. I like the aesthetic of it, and while the accuracy does drop, in general with PiB, I don't really notice it that much. I do bust out the Lancaster still, sometimes, mostly in PvP situations when accuracy counts more than damage.

My usual setup is 2xLeMat for close / mid range Pump-Action for close range Carcano for everything else swap carcano rifle for bow for stealth play, keep the shotgun for when you inevitably fail at sneaky
Volcanic+Schofield - I have Navy, Schofield, Volcanic and Lemat all maxxed out and Schofield is by far the easiest to hit quick headshots with and most accurate according to in game stats. I've tried others, but none of them are as Quick or accurate when I use them. I suggest you try it. Do a video and disprove me, lol
I tend to use the cattleman revolver way more than I should as I think it has the best sound when firing. Also the fact that it's the legendary "Peacemaker"
The Cattleman is very nice to use for PVE, it reloads pretty fast, and overall is very balanced. But in PvP I don't feel safe, I prefer Mausers, or Schofield. Navy reloads too slowly for my likings.
Valcanic pistols are nasty with gun slingers choice and high velocity I take out people from a pretty good range I got called a hacker ones because of it
My load out is Lemats(for the shotguns) a carcano rifle and the improved bow, I like to have D arrows on me all the time in case I need to let a few off at a trigger happy player(BTW the improved bow has the biggest range in the game with PiB so you can easily take out snipers with a D arrow after marking
I use the duel wield cattlemen the varmint rifle for headshots and I use the rolling block for more damage but sometimes the carcano if I want to easy headshots.

People kept getting pissed at me cuz i can barely ride a horse and keep running into people, they keep chasing me down but every time they do it i 1 shot with my pump action
I like to use the evans repeater since it has a large amount of ammo for constant defense time, it also gives you a bunch of time to knockdown your enemy’s and shoot them.

I tend to change my load out because I get bored. But I generally use the bolt action rifle and the repeating shotgun. I know it's not as good as the pump action but it looks cooler and feels more western. And I use most of the revolvers except for the double action.
nice, pretty much what i expected. my usual loadout is lemat, mauser pistol, pump shotgun, bolt action, for sniper i go carcano, and for repeater i usually use the evans, i need to start trying some of the others.

Good question! High Roller has the same stats as the double action and the Lowry has the same stats as the Navy but those variants do feature the upgrades on the normal weapon to my understanding like extended barrel, improved rifling, etc. Same would go for the rare shotgun (double barrel) and Tomahawks are one hit if you you throw it just like normal throwable tomahawks
@@HazardousHDTV idk about the lawry revolver but the high roller is actually an unupgraded double action making it worse, once upon a time that ancient tomahawk was a 1 hit kill, I'm not sure if it still is

I don't care what the game stats say, the LeMat is dummy accurate for me, I feel like I nail free aim headshots with it constantly. And the shotgun barrels make it like you're carrying a sawed off with you too. Frees up the other weapon slots for a rifle and sniper or bow etc.

Yes. That or the Springfield. My personal choice is the Springfield but with the bolt action you can paint 5 targets with paint it black. The Springfield needs to be fully reloaded each shot.
If you use the Springfield rifle as a sniper it's good and if people get to close exit out of the scope use an explosive round for the auto lock on it works very good if your gonna snipe with it tho use express rounds
While using Lancaster Repeater more ammo is needed to kill an enemy but Litchfield Repeater uses less ammo to kill the same enemy. Litchfield seems more accurate than Lancaster Repeater.
I agree, the litchfield gets a ton of hate but every time use Lancaster I feel like I'm emptying my entire gun to kill a guy if I head shot isn't there. And I get it, you want head shots but that's not always possible when it comes to legendary bounties and what not. I always get my hopes up watching vids like this and switch to Lancaster and always go back to litchfield. It's just way stronger in my book.

Fun fact: If you gave gta online, and you find and kill the serial killer, and pick up his revolver, you can find the same revolver in rdo, and it is a slightly better variant of the navy revolver, so you only need to buy one navy revolver, to be able to dual wield
Sawed off and semi auto pistol, yes! After expermenting with every gun in game and studying the data, I also came up with thus combo. They have almost the same fire and reload rates - both best in game. 2 blasts with sawed-off kills anything up close, but you still have 4 more shots in the pistol if you need to clean up adds.
Sawed-off in off-hand. After the sawed-off is empty the semi keeps going for 4 more rounds (as if one-handed), but with about same fire rate as most dual wields.
Should do a top 5 rifles, top 5 pistols, top 5 shotguns and a special weapons class (crossbows,ect) video. I'd love to see what weapons you'd add into the game and why.
Dual sawed offs, fastest shotguns in game, plus it opens up both back slots for better ranged choices instead of dedicating one back slot to a shotgun.
I play on PS5. Is anyone having problems getting into free roam? I’ve changed the WiFi, made sure all updates were done and nothing. My loading screen just keeps saying 50% and staying there. Really frustrating.
Is the scope on the Lancaster necessary? It says it increases the range but is that only if you actually use the scope cuz it looks so much better w/o it
Just a heads up if you play GTA online you can get a custom Navy revolver. Called the 'Lowry Revolver' You have to find the Serial killer in GTAOnline And kill him. Then go to the Serial killers basement in RDRonline and you'll find it in a lock box.

Volcanic is clearly OP. We had a posse sidearm battle with no ability cards and the volcanics ruled the game.

My go-to guns on Red Dead Redemption online are the Navy revolvers and the Lancaster rifle and the pump-action shotgun I use them all the time

Improved bow with PIB has the longest most accurate range. You can one shot sniper humans while not even stopping the trader wagon.

I think the repeating shotgun is pretty underrated
I like to use the evans repeater since it has a large amount of ammo for constant defense time, it also gives you a bunch of time to knockdown your enemy’s and shoot them.

I tend to change my load out because I get bored. But I generally use the bolt action rifle and the repeating shotgun. I know it's not as good as the pump action but it looks cooler and feels more western. And I use most of the revolvers except for the double action.

nice, pretty much what i expected. my usual loadout is lemat, mauser pistol, pump shotgun, bolt action, for sniper i go carcano, and for repeater i usually use the evans, i need to start trying some of the others.

Yo Hazard, where do the special weapons fit into this equation? Like the the. High roller pistol, Lowry revolver, ancient tomahawk , etc?
Good question! High Roller has the same stats as the double action and the Lowry has the same stats as the Navy but those variants do feature the upgrades on the normal weapon to my understanding like extended barrel, improved rifling, etc. Same would go for the rare shotgun (double barrel) and Tomahawks are one hit if you you throw it just like normal throwable tomahawks
@@HazardousHDTV idk about the lawry revolver but the high roller is actually an unupgraded double action making it worse, once upon a time that ancient tomahawk was a 1 hit kill, I'm not sure if it still is

I don't care what the game stats say, the LeMat is dummy accurate for me, I feel like I nail free aim headshots with it constantly. And the shotgun barrels make it like you're carrying a sawed off with you too. Frees up the other weapon slots for a rifle and sniper or bow etc.

Yes. That or the Springfield. My personal choice is the Springfield but with the bolt action you can paint 5 targets with paint it black. The Springfield needs to be fully reloaded each shot.
If you use the Springfield rifle as a sniper it's good and if people get to close exit out of the scope use an explosive round for the auto lock on it works very good if your gonna snipe with it tho use express rounds
While using Lancaster Repeater more ammo is needed to kill an enemy but Litchfield Repeater uses less ammo to kill the same enemy. Litchfield seems more accurate than Lancaster Repeater.
you’re slow bud. Litchfield is horrible unless you rely on only paint it black, Lancaster or evans is the meta. Even carbine would smack a litchfeild

I agree, the litchfield gets a ton of hate but every time use Lancaster I feel like I'm emptying my entire gun to kill a guy if I head shot isn't there. And I get it, you want head shots but that's not always possible when it comes to legendary bounties and what not. I always get my hopes up watching vids like this and switch to Lancaster and always go back to litchfield. It's just way stronger in my book.

Fun fact: If you gave gta online, and you find and kill the serial killer, and pick up his revolver, you can find the same revolver in rdo, and it is a slightly better variant of the navy revolver, so you only need to buy one navy revolver, to be able to dual wield

After expermenting with every gun in game and studying the data, I also came up with thus combo. They have almost the same fire and reload rates - both best in game. 2 blasts with sawed-off kills anything up close, but you still have 4 more shots in the pistol if you need to clean up adds.
Sawed-off in off-hand. After the sawed-off is empty the semi keeps going for 4 more rounds (as if one-handed), but with about same fire rate as most dual wields.

Dual sawed offs, fastest shotguns in game, plus it opens up both back slots for better ranged choices instead of dedicating one back slot to a shotgun.

I play on PS5. Is anyone having problems getting into free roam? I’ve changed the WiFi, made sure all updates were done and nothing. My loading screen just keeps saying 50% and staying there. Really frustrating.

I just try to load in different things, Free Roam, Camp or Posse up. I hope they fix it
If you go into another online game like gta online then go back into red dead, it works for me every time

Just a heads up if you play GTA online you can get a custom Navy revolver. Called the 'Lowry Revolver' You have to find the Serial killer in GTAOnline And kill him. Then go to the Serial killers basement in RDRonline and you'll find it in a lock box.

The gun was used by Italian as a rifle The professional if you don't know him he makes red dead and GTA videos said one of the reasons it could be a sniper rifle in the game was because it is said to be the gun that JFK was assinated with
