The argument is that by repealing net neutrality, infrastructure would be cheaper, and companies would invest more.
The counter argument for that is that some companies werent affected by net neutrality on terms of infrastructure.
And counter argument to THAT is that big comapnies absorb costs better than smaller ones so of course it isnt a problem for them.

I am from East Africa, and very offended.
No one's gonna see this, but I'm typing it anyway.
The USA's ISPs are effectively monopolized. They refuse to tread on each other's turf and raise their prices while giving bogus data limits regularly. The only thing stopping economic progress is their blatant refusal to become competitive.
Sadly, its extremely unlikely for new ISPs to pop up and introduce competition as actually starting an ISP company is extremely expensive; requiring vast amounts of servers and housing for said servers.
Net Neutrality is the last thing keeping ISPs even remotely in line. Without it ISPs could create what are essentially "microtransactions" that milk the consumer, and the consumer can't refuse because there is no alternative present.
Save Net Neutrality, lest the ISPs swallow us whole.

It's not because of expense, it's largely because of privileges granted by states and local governments that have created the ISP monopolies that prevent competition.
There’s an alternative. Go outside lol and not pay for the bs we have anyways.
You're not wrong. If you google "how to start an ISP", one of the steps is basically "buy data from a bigger ISP". That said, further steps are laying down the wiring, and making sure everything is stable is expensive in itself.

I literally don't understand how demolishing the net neutrality law could help in any way make the market compete more.
It puts companies in a position to where, with less regulation, they have more control over the services they provide. This means that if a company is performing immensely poorly, and not allowing equal service, those customers will leave for a company which will. This creates competition, as now companies are trying harder to keep their customers by providing better service. (That’s the general theory)

We wouldn't be able to change providers so we would get the shaft. More Power + Geographic Monopoly = fucked
Many places in USA don't have the options to change ISP's because the cable companies have regional monopolies. For me personally Spectrum is the only option available to me. To change ISP would require me moving. Many people only have two option at most so if they both are doing the same bad thing you are screwed.
