My son and I started playing just before v1.2. I remember us being so excited for fishing coming in the next update. Here we are so many years later and still play together frequently. He is now 21 and I 48. We still enjoy creating new worlds with new themes a few times a year. He is the engineer in game and in RL. MC is one of the reasons he decided to pursue engineering. I, the Architect, just build the big crazy stuff and get yelled at for using all the mats lol. So for those of you out there that feel the nostalgia so strongly, please pass MC on to the next generation. Who knows what it may inspire. :)

This is so beautiful. My son got me into playing Minecraft with him 6 years ago, he was 11 at the time, we still play together now he is 17 and my daughter also who is 8. The nostalgia is very real going from the old Xbox 360 tutorial mode in 2016 to Java 1.18 in 2022, wow! 🥰

Checklist:
• A bottle of water, at least 1liter. Your brain works better if it has enough water and drinking helps you to concentrate💧
• Your charger. You sometimes don't even notice that your device's battery is going down, so better have it plugged in all the time🔋
• Your headphones. You will be able to focus more with headphones, because it blocks background noises. Also, if it's a late night study session, you won't wake up anyone🎧
• a tea or coffee. Coffee keeps you awake, green or black tea can make you feel more awake as well.☕
• Your study/work stuff: your laptop/tablet/phone , a few pens, paper or whatever you need.⌨️
•Anything else you could need, what about a heat pad, a blanket, a good lamp, your pet so you have a study buddy 🐈
Reminder:After an hour, you should stand up and walk a bit around. Better stop the music or put on different music for the break. Open your window, even if it's cold outside. Fresh air will make it better, trust me.
You could also lay your head down on your desk for ten minutes and listen to a podcast. Or, if you have to read a book, listen to the audiobook of it. You can also listen to the audiobook while doing another thing, that's even better than listening to music while reading the book.

I remember using this playlist for our class to listen to during primary school. My teacher approved of it, and we were all just quietly listening to this for the remaining 30 minutes we had before school ended. I'm almost 17 now. It's really bittersweet coming back here. I can't believe my high school years are almost reaching its end man. I miss being 12 and playing minecraft all day straight after school, I miss the small moments and drama I had with my primary classmates, and I miss not worrying about what to do for my future. I am extremely unsure and afraid of what I'm going to do when I'm older. I sometimes wish I could go back to simpler times where I could just happily play games without any stress or homework. I know all I can do now is to keep moving forward, but I can't help but regret not appreciating my childhood and freedom enough. Time flies by so fast it's actually crazy.

I grew up playing MC almost every single day, and now i’m almost halfway through college, pursuing an advertising degree. I’m even the head builder on a server and i’m making a custom soundtrack for it as well!
I genuinely owe so much to this game for how it fostered my creativity at a young age, allowing me to do what i do today. Never stop playing, no matter how old you get. It will always revive that sense of joy and creativity you used to have.
The music in Minecraft always makes me wanna cry for some reason... I legit have to mute it or i'll get sad while breeding cows or something. Minecraft gets pushed aside and mocked as a "game for babies", but it's so clear that a ton of effort was put into it, most notably the music. It isn't like Sonic games where the music is vital to the experience. Music in Minecraft is totally unneeded, and the fact that it's there anyway just shows that people cared when they made this game.

i used to listen to this playlist 2 years ago. not that long, but it feels like it now. i used it to get my work done. i have problems focusing and this playlist helped a lot. i also really like minecraft, so this was nice to listen to.

RΛGΣ longest Skype call with a friend was to build the largest thunder dome we ever built it was 15 hours I was 9 so like that was long for me at the time 17 now we used command blocks to summon mobs to certain areas using levers even tho now we could make much better systems but it was what we did and how enjoyable it was lot of fun that old toshiba laptop I bought with my money barley ran Minecraft but it was mine

I know my opinion doesn't count since I have a profile anime picture, but I think Minecraft is actually a pretty depressing game. The Internet is full of cringe Minecraft content that made people think it's only a silly game for children, where they can play with their friends, fight monsters, build their houses and search for diamonds. I see Minecraft as something different, because most of the time, I played alone. At first, I was really scared of zombies, skeletons, even caves and woods at night. When I heard a creepy cave sound, I hid under the table or even shut down a computer. I felt happiness, when I built a small house, even if it was 4x4 large and from one kind of block, and when I added a bed and a 1 block window, it suddenly felt so cozy, almost like a real home. Home in the endless world, where you are the only one human being. All of sudden, your problems don't exist, time doesn't exist, you're just watching sunrise and sunset over and over again. When I started playing Minecraft, I just couldn't handle this strange feeling of being lonely in a world that is just like ours. So I created a story in my head, that the character - Steve has a family, that is waiting for him. Somewhere at the edge of the Minecraft world. Every day, I followed the sun hoping someday he would on his path find a place where he will find happiness. He will find something, I'm not sure what it will be, but it has to be something, right? After all, every game has some point to reach. You could beat an Ender Dragon, but still can return to the Overworld and continue playing. And no matter how long I played, a new day was the only thing Steve found. Some people think there's not anything beyond Minecraft, it exists in a void. But Minecraft is void itself. You're wandering around in this strange, infinite world, completely alone, just with your thoughts. Steve didn't find his family, or whatever he was aiming to achieve to find happiness, but he helped me find my happiness. And isn't it the whole purpose of the game? As the time passes by, you realize, you're not alone at all.

Just kidding, I agree with you. Especially the ending dialogue are seen as the philosophical part of the game - which I disagree with, because that philosophy of loneliness, that feeling of peace in an infinite world is already in the game. It's what makes minecraft to what it is. Sure, the ending dialogue is deep and all, but Minecraft never needed words to be described - the game itself describes loneliness, infinity, inspiration and peace. And that's why I find it amazing.

its been around 2 years since I first found this, and its still probably my favorite youtube lofi playlist. I love minecraft and I've been playing it for years. These songs remind me of this old server I used to play in, that I guess got shut down- Because the server got really inactive for awhile, and now I can't join it anymore. This playlist brings back those memories for me. Thank you Feardog!! Even though I'll likely never see that server or the people I met there ever again, I still have this playlist to remind me of my past :]
Minecraft has always been my escape route ever since I was a little kid and it helped me find so many people with the same interests as me
I also remember my very first Minecraft world I created.
The sand-dirt house on the beach.
The glass blocks I added when I noticed I can create them.
The painting I made and placed in there.
The escape tunnels I added in case zombies break in.
The panic where I realized too late that I should have closed them from the other side, seeing more zombies inside.
I remember when I found out about the arrows.
When I found a lone gravel island afar.
I would literally swim on my own for 5 minutes to get there, and get stacks of gravel.
Then spend a whole day digging through the gravel to get all the flints.
I remember naming everything around.
One mountain was the 'Llama Mt' because of its shape.
Another mountain was the 'Three Trees Mt'.
There were three big trees on top that I chopped down.
Didn't notice the wood logs left on top in the leaves, so the leaves never disappeared.
Hence the name.
After three magical trees.
I remember how scared of the underground I was.
I would go for an adventure to get coal visible from the surface.
I would never enter a cave.
I remember building multiple dirt houses west and east.
Just so I have somewhere to hide on my adventures.
Each one had a door, a crafting table, and small 2x1 -window- hole.
There were a bunch of red flowers next to one house, a lake next to another.
I got to a huge gravel beach, and was so happy to see it.
I never managed to dig it all up.
And now it's all gone.
I would also give a lot to get the world back and visit it at least once more.
Of course I never will.
And this
is really fucking scary.
Im 17 now, and only now some things I know slowly cease to exist, only now I realize I will never get them back.
Im so fucking scared of something so dear becoming suddenly gone forever.
Or lost somewhere out there.
All the games I played.
All the drawings I drew.
All the music I listened and listen to.
I hope noone will be angry at me for downloading this mix.
