- Legendary throwback to the final minute of Golden State Warriors vs OKC Thunder where Stephen Curry hits a game winner from almost the half court!
"They do have a time out, decides not to use it, Curry way down town... Bang! Bang! Oh what a shot from Curry with sixth tenth of a second remaining!"
Thanks for watching :)
I remember telling my dad about Curry and how good he was. He didn’t really know who he was and we turned on the tv and this game happened to be on. This was ridiculous to see live and funny to be the first time my dad watched him play. Simply amazing
That must have been awesome.

Lol..I remember believing this story..NOT!!!!
Haha not sure why I would make this up. This was a great game and definitely one you would remember seeing live as Curry was making just about everything he threw up, especially the last shot
"They do have a timeout, decide not to use it." is the buzzerbeater guaranteed spell
On everything I love 😂
I will never forget this legendary moment!!!!

I always wished that they had more crowd shots, the looks of utter despair, dejection and defeat…priceless…
I always wished the benches were reversed so he shot it in front of Kerr. Surely Steve would have been "Noooooo," then "Yeeeaaaahhh!!!"
There's a fan persepective floating around somewhere. It's a great shot cause you can see the whole floor as Curry makes the shot. You get to see the full Andre Iguodala dancing in celebration.
@@backhandchopcan u give me the source of the shot?
"The brilliant shooting of Stephen Curry continues".
It's been over 4 years since that day and this statement is as true as ever.
And still more than ever….. #2024 game winner vs Suns

I still remember that night. I couldn't remember if OKC and GSW already played earlier that season but I remember saying in my head "KD gonna send a message tonight", cause KD was out with an injury the year prior.
And I was right. KD sent a message to Draymond Green that he was joining Golden State in July.
They had played prior.
A game at Oakland when Steph shot very poorly from three yet the Warriors won by 8
@@rafa0247 Didn't the Warriors lose a game to OKC though? That's why everyone was saying that OKC is the better team and GSW were just having a good regular season. This was the most hyped game of the season if I remember correctly because OKC had the chance to clearly show which was the better team.
@@daanishgupta
Nah, Golden State swept the regular season series against the Thunder.
I just looked it up, and they had actually played 2 games (both obviously won by Golden State) before that matchup.
About the hype leading to that game, it was normal, OKC still had a great team (as confirmed in their playoff battle) and lots of people wanted them to win as they hated the Warriors and called them a bogus good team.
@@rafa0247 A'ight. Might have been mistaken because I remember the entire season people were saying it's just a good regular season and that they never played a healthy OKC. Then the WCF happened 😂
@@daanishgupta
Yeah, no biggie.
The game vs the Spurs was also highly anticipated for the Warriors to lose and then beat them by thirty in a blowout.
You´re right though, that 2016 series was something to remember.
And now he passes Ray Allen as the NBA's all-time 3 point king. What a player, truly changed the game. Nothing but respect for Chef Curry 🐐

And now he won a ring
The only thing ray allen has on steph is that he was in movie.
@@jakobsoper4330 nah
This is probably the greatest season in NBA history
OKC: nah... we're just gonna send it to 2nd OT, gotta get back on D guys!
Curry: nah... we end this now. 🏀🔥🔥🔥
This has been my favourite all time Steph play and basketball moment.
The arena reaction was epic, everybody from OKC froze
that reminds me of Kawhi’s shot in Toronto against the Sixers when the ball got the lucky bounce. Everybody in that arena froze for a bit second, then once the ball went in.. History.
@@donmarco4502I just saw that clip. For like 2-3 seconds, you could only hear the ball bounce & no one else 😂
Hell yeah, same. To this day, I still can’t believe he pulled that & made it 😮💨 Same with Dame vs OKC
@@BrutusJrThe3rdI could hear the crowd collectively going “WHAT?!”
Saw this game in live time and I remember being absolutely floored. Easily one of my all time favorite regular season games but Steph was just other worldly
I get the chills Everytime. Just like when I watch the T Mac comeback.
Best basketball year 2016 was just a whole vibe year
Until they got cheated in the finals. I really believe that..I'm watching those games over and over how there was no foul on curry yet he gets called a foul even the slightest touch on the Cavs..the Chef got cooked 😪
@@mickeysantos8846 nah same bro I feel like draymond shouldn’t have gotten suspended that was ridiculous and my panthers lost the Super Bowl that year too haha but yeah I feel the warriors got cheated as well
Cheated? Just accept the truth that ur Stephanie Curry choked in the finals. You sexualized fans have tons of excuses for blowing a 3-1 lead
Accept that Curry needed Durant to defeat James xd

Curry had the two most electrifiying MVP seasons in NBA history. His Shooting is uncanny
This will be one of my all time favorite moments in NBA history. I'll never forget watching this and Mike Breen's "Bang!". We have all been truly blessed to watch Steph Curry and this Warriors run.
Curry and warriors look so focused in this game. You can see curry and klay with killer face on.
Privileged to be alive during the reign of the greatest shooter in the history of the NBA.
Big facts
This Steph Curry moment will go down in the ledgers of NBA history as one of the best! It convinced KD to join the Warriors!
Ofc, KD will always be remembered as a snake. If u can’t beat em…
As a OKC fan this gives me PTSD 😒😂 When he hit that damn 3 it blew my whole night, what a classic game.
I remember when I watched it. Living room, this was the game that was shown on TV. Watching with the family. Father still has little idea of Curry then, only knew the 24-straight wins the Warriors had to start the season, really didn't care they were the defending champs....then the OT shot happened. Needless to say, they know Curry now.
I was not so fond of watching NBA games before but then I caught a game well after it had started and saw I player who could not seem to miss , making 11 consecutive shots to the roar of the crowd. It was Klay whom I did not know yet. The game was between GSW and Sacramento. From then on I tried to watch every Warriors' game only to find out that he had actually an unbelievable counterpart in Steph Curry who made me even more hooked to their games. They were calling him Splash Brothers. Call it just a bandwagon effect but who would not appreciate their other-worldly skills. This game with OKC is simply unforgettable.
@@lordani3673 the Splash Brothers was hyped in 2013 when they beat Denver in first round and went six games with the Spurs... but i thought they were another one of those gimmicks that fold in the playoffs, which they did when they lost in the first round the next year... until they replaced their coach and the rest is history.
BAAAAANG BAAANG, OH WHAT A SHOT FROM CURRY!!
Legendary play, legendary commentary!
One of the greatest Hall of fame NBA moments we have in our rich history.
the greatness of Steph cannot be overstated, one of the best performances ever!
Even the opposing team fans are supporting Curry. Curry has a great time out on court.
The fan sound when he hit it was a mix of "wHhaTt?!" and "noOoohhH!!!" never heard any reaction like that before
What made that shot so great is he just didn’t throw it up and hoped, that was a straight shot selection he choose and made it. Crazy
I watch this when I want to cry tears of joy. As a die hard Warriors fan, nothing has ever put me in my feelings quite like the plays of Stephen Curry. He took us from laughing stock of the league to juggernaut, and is pound for pound the greatest player I’ve ever seen. If you’re not a GS fan, you don’t realize how magical he is EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. It’s he and Lebron, and every other player has just been waiting for them to retire.
The "BANG," always gives me the chills. I remember this game and was going nuts when Curry hit that shot.
I remember watching this game me my dad brother cousins uncle and grandma we flew into town to all be with our grandma I was a huge OKC fan me my brother and my cousins and I remember my grandma loving Steph and we weren’t on the bandwagon yet. I remember us all being in shock at what Steph was doing and when he pulled up to win the game I remember all of us just saying that’s game as he gathered lol. Great times
despite this being 4 years back, and u posting this 2 days ago
it shows how everyone loves curry and we're not gonna see someone like him again
It’s now eight years ago (today), and it’s still branded into my psyche.
And thankfully, we are still seeing this young man dazzle us in 2024 …
One of greatest shots🔥🔥
Prime Time Saturday Night on ABC…
One of many Steph Curry’s career signature moments.
I saw this live on TV, by far the best Regular Season game of the year in 2016; these 2 teams later in the year went on to play an epic 7 game series in the west conference finals.
I remember when this happened. It was a Saturday night, how could I ever forget?
I’ve seen this so many times and I still get the chills
This game was on my birthday and my friends and I watched it at a bar. I don’t remember much of that night but I do remember going nuts and the proceeding to black out for my birthday. Definitely one of my favorite moments.
What’s crazy is that he’s still shooting these shots TO THIS DAY !!🔥🔥🔥
Everybody gangsta til the warriors have a time out and decide not to use it
Lmfao
2:29 just look at the crowds reaction after curry got the ball, they knew lol
Mate look at Enis Kanter while the ball is still in the air! Enis Kanter, one of the worst defenders in the league at the time, is like "Come one man, you gotta do better than that, the half court pull is a layup for him, we know this"
I love how defeated the OKC bench looked before Curry even took the shot. They knew it was over when Curry had the ball
Prime steph curry was unbelievable. I come back every year to watch videos from his back to back mvp season. Every year i will remember the feeling of greatness. Ima warrior fan btw
And yes I am going to say it now. First his record for the most 3 will never be broken. And 2nd top 5 best nba player ever. There I said it.
Oh how the lowlights of RusseLL WestBRICK never get old... 😂
Im convinced this is one of the top 10 coldest shots of all time man i will never forget it
This is only 2nd to the most amazing sports moment I've ever seen in team time (from Dave And Busters in the South Bay), the first being Germany winning the world cup in 2014
One of my favorite Curry moments.
2:33 Canter on the bench knew whats coming 😂
I had the privilege of being alive seeing the two greatest icons who changed the game. MJ and Steph..
I wish we could’ve had a crowd camera I wanted to see the okc fans reactions when curry hit that lol
They don’t give the announcer enough credit perfect commentary
I love Stephen Curry and all the GSW❤️😍
I remember the final 2 clutch free throws at the end of regulation to tie the game after being amazed by how the Warriors were able to come back several times but falling short.
Great veteran play against a young superstar.
They didn’t fail short though.
Andre Iguidala, who was not a good free throws shooter. but he was clutch that night
Was at this game as an 8 year old and it was my first nba game. Surely set the bar high, and the energy in the arena was something else
This is the game that changed everything. People might say they knew prior, but everyone didn't know until this exact moment.

That game winner
No way team will let Curry casually dribble across half court now
Even back then they were checking and contesting him a tiny bit
And he still gets shots off with 3 guys on him
Gotta get at least half the team on him and even then he’ll prolly still make it
Dont know if people notice the brilliant tap rebound of Green on the last OKC play that led to the game winner. He was out manned there.
Best moment In nba history
2016 AGAINST THE THUNDER. HE HAD A 35 FOOT GAME WINNER😮
This felt like a finals game. The best game I ever saw live. Will be so bummed when curry retires. It's amazing he is still playing at such an elite level. Enjoy the greatness while we can!
One of those moments you will never forget the greatest shooter
Memories...
Klay still playing. The original death lineup finishing the last minutes. Literally EVERY GAME counting as the Warriors went for 73 wins.
Super gutsy move not to call timeout and shoot it from just past halfcourt to catch the defense off guard.
This game could have been the difference between making 73 wins and not.
Still to this day by far the best game I ever saw on tv and it was when GSW were at the prime and peak of powers
Mike Breen yells out "BANG" every time he climaxes.
But no double bangs. This one was a rarity.
I don’t think we realized the greatness we were witnessing at the time
Bro as an okc fan I remember watching this game live and I never hated a player more after a game than I did Steph curry after this shot went in
The OKC bench reaction to Curry taking that shot is priceless. They already knew it was good
This one of those i remember where i was at when it happened type moments
KD on the bench: I want teammate like him. Next season: Hey bro I’m coming
This is an amazing shot 🤘
I was watching that day.
There's another tv angle of this play that captures the heaviness of the moment a lot better
Still remember watching this live. Legendary moment!

As an okc fan, this is my favorite Steph curry Moment of all time
ladies and gentlemen, the greatest nba game ever. agree or disagree, easily the greatest regular season game ever
Curry and Clay were so quick back then. Fricking father time
His Legend grow in this game. Steph Curry is iconic
this was one of the best regular season games i've ever seen. both teams were ascending with so many stars on both teams. as i recall, igoudala hit 2 free throws to send it to overtime, and then Curry stuck his dagger to win it. fantastic back and forth game.
Everytime they played it felt like the play offs

10 years goes by fast.
I didn't get to see this game but Stephen curry bro he's a beast in the NBA especially shooting three pointers
As a Dubs fan, this is the best regular season game I’ve ever watched. I remember having mini heart attacks from the final 3 minutes of the 4th - OT. Yelled so loud after that shot it woke up my Mom lol
8 seconds left, not taking a TO to get the ball at half court AND draw up a play? Instead a half court shot by Curry is better option? Not even with MJ. Curry = GOAT!
i remember watching this game in my hotel room on koh samui island in thailand while i was backpacking...
Honestly, this was the play where the world witnessed what Curry can do on a regular basis
that game was the perfect display of the difference between Westbrook and Curry. One missed a bad shot and the other makes a wide open shot from Alaska
I’ve always loved watching the OKC bench, and Kanter gives the “what can you do about that?” shrug before the ball even goes in. 😂😂😂
Watching this live I knew it was going in
Nah at first i was like why tf is he taking that 😂
Steph dance at the end tho 👌
I saw this at the club…the DJ, the women, everybody went crazy
They need to have a dedicated Camera solely for the Audience, to see their Heart Wrenching reactions, when something like this happens.
Always remember this, when KD picks his nose on the bench. You know a deep 3 is coming. Dude ain't even worried at all.
Right. But nobody taught him to handle full-court pressure at the end of regulation. Make a blind half-court pass?
Looking back it’s incredible how close the warriors came to losing throughout the dynasty
