Wow that going out on a lim ? I myself would have had to put at least the doors on to see how everything looked before welding that rain gutter piece permanently ! Keep the video's coming looks great ! Thanks
It would be very helpful to us fellow split window restorers if you showed more close-ups of your work. Replacing the rain gutter/drip rail is one of the things that I must do to mine but viewing you welding the bits from a distance is not as informative as it could be.
@@rustyr-garage5667 Hi: You can imagine how much I would appreciate "close-up" shots of what and how you go about it. As in the case of the drip rail in this video I would have liked to see which metal you were punching the holes in (that is if what I viewed was a hole punch and not a flange tool - which makes my point precisely). Since as I understand it there are 3 separate parts.
heyho ... nice videos but u are coating all parts where u gonna weld with zinks spray without any sanding ? i mean if u go with your fingernails over the zink coat it will flake off
@@rustyr-garage5667 I think it is kind of like this product but i have never seen anyone use it to weld 2 pieces together. 220V G90E Panel Spot Puller Dent Spotter Multispot
@@rustyr-garage5667 Here is the name of the tool they have several brands. Single sided spot welder. That is the coolest thing I have ever seen. The metal work guys here dont have them YET!!!!!! I am getting one of those suckers. the time saving OMG I could have used that on this Steiger Restoration. would have saved me Light years of time.

Hi Ronald, the inside of the split window will be changed soon. I'll take a close-up shot... 👍

Hi, yes you are right. Zinc spray can only be applied to pure metal. Where there is rust you need sanding and I put Hydro 80 there. Thanks
good work, keep it up :)
Thank you very much 😉
did you see that spot welder he was using near the end. That looked cool. pulsing and burning through 2 layers. this guy is Mr tool.
@@Mikefngarage Thank you very much
