Billie just spoke out about being abused as a minor in British Vogue. She's an icon. Role model. Artist and incredible.
If you look closely at the album cover, she's crying even though it's called "Happier Than Ever." I feel like this album is going to go through the journey that she had to take to BECOME happier than ever. Like, she had to reflect on her past relationship (with Q and that age gap that gave him a powerful advantage) and celebrity power struggles that women go through in general. Later on in the tracklist is "Therefore I Am" which is a really fun and confident song. There's also "my future" which has her actually looking forward to living her future. So I think in the end it will be happy, but we have to listen to all the turmoil and reflection that she had to go through to get there.
This album is gonna be a journey and I’m here for it

You don't have to be loud to be a good singer, Billie's songs are always so so good
agree .It is not always a matter of vocals range but more in an artistic sense. There are singers who do not have an amazing voice and they are appreciated because of their music but Billie manages to amaze you even with her singing like that and it is special, for her it is an advantage and not a disadvantage. Beyond her artistic manner and her charisma.
You love Billie as much as I do. I think you are absolutely on target with your interpretation. For me, this song doesn't simply frame this situation of power abuse in terms of injustice only. It is filled with the pain caused by the abuse of power. Her voice and Finneas' arrangement in this create pure magic!

Every time her age kills me. When you learn to recognize her talent you realize that this is not just a talented girl, she is an artist! Every time in shock she started her career at the age of 13. And today she is not yet 20 years old and has a Grammy and a Bond song. There have already been successful young singers but not in an artistic sense like her.
