I am absolutely terrified of the large open water, but my family wants to go on a cruise. This video is what made me say yes. Thank you for the amazing detailed tour.
Thank you for taking the time to make such great videos of the carnival sunshine. My wife and I have been on the ship many times, sailing again in May. Can’t say enough about how incredible your videos are. Can’t wait to see more. Thanks again Joseph Swenda.
Glad you like them! I appreciate the feedback. I do have more cruise videos planned, but a major life event has pulled me away from the editing process (I have the footage for 3 cruises just waiting to be edited). Enjoy your cruise in May!
Was taken on my first cruise in June 2018 out of Port Canaveral on the Sunshine. Had a blast, I never expected a cruise to be this much fun. Cruise Director Mikey was the funniest. Watching this video sure brings back those memories. Sad the ship no longer uses Port Canaveral as I would like to go again.
@@jonathangodbout6645 My husband and I have been on 3 cruises since September and Melissa and I are doing a "twin cruise" this next week. LOVE cruising.
We use the stairs for the exercise to offset all the good food. Helps us get 25k steps in for the day. We usually log 40-50 flights of steps a day. Have a great first cruise!
@@moonwvr7252 Yep. I (Melissa) gained some weight on this last cruise but shutter to think how much worse it would have been if I had not taken all those stairs. I lost it quickly after I got home.
Thank you,you have shown the best tour of a ship. Everything that is on each deck, and where things are. I want to take a cruise next May. Where does the SUNRISE sail from? I live in North Florida, and dies this ship have a 6 or 8 day cruise? Thank you again for taking the time showing Everything. Mark!
Awesome video.Have few questions. 1.Did you chose to be on deck three for reason? What is above deck three 2.What kind of dining did you chose? Is the anytime restaurant as nice as signed dinning restaurant? Any tips? I just booked my cruise for Feb.Thank you.
We chose the cabin category 4J and deck 3 was the only one left. We chose anytime dining because we like the flexibility of not having to be at the dining room at a certain time every evening. Enjoy your cruise!!!!!😀
@@MidLifeStyleTwins Sailing on this ship in 2 weeks, newbies here! I think I signed us up for a 6pm dinner time. Can I change that to what you did, or do I have to stick to that time for the whole cruise?
@@gretchenwanek8797 Sorry for the late response...we just moved and have not had time to reply....I think you can talk to the maitre d. Good luck. Have a great trip. 🙂
Do you know if my 17 year old can come with me in the casino? It’s literally 9 days before her 18th birthday 😂. This is our first cruise. Also, do they have bingo? I’ve heard they do and don’t.
Hello! When we sailed on Sunshine last fall, they did have bingo. I am not sure about the age restrictions for the casino. Sorry. I hope you have a fantastic time on your cruise. Thank you for watching!
Wow, Melinda! I am going to be brutally honest and say that was outstanding! 😃 That ship is party central and i would revert back to my party animal ways. 😲 I was much younger of course. 😬 But my golf cart died and i was forced to get my inhaler out of my survival bag to continue. ☹ But i made it! 😃 Melinda! Have you and or Melissa ever seen, or yourselves ever fed the fish? 🤢🤮 Just being nosy. Great video. Awesome narration ........................ 😎👍👍
Hey, Joseph. As always, thanks so for your great comments. Feeding fish...no. Maybe we should consider it on our "Twin Cruise" which starts tomorrow!!!!!! 🙂
Thanks for all your hard work on this series!!
My pleasure!
Can't wait to go in June taking my daughter for her graduation trip ❤
Melissa took her daughter on this cruise for her graduation years ago and had the time of her life. A lot of great memories. Enjoy!!!!
When are you going? I'm doing the same June 3rd for my daughters graduation trip as well 😊
This is absolutely the best detail video tour of the boat. Thank you so much, my upcoming cruise is in 3 weeks.
Glad it was helpful! Hope you have a fantastic trip
Thanks for the tour been😊 on the Carnival sunshine once I’ve gotten two more booked and paid for I love the sunshine

This is a great video & very informative. My cousins are wanting to go on their first cruise, so this will give them a great idea of what to expect!!

Great tour video! Strongly considering a cruise next year. First cruise out of dry dock when it’s fresh would be really nice!
Indeed, a like new ship! Thanks for watching.
Awesome tour of the ship! I'll be going in March and I pretty nervous so this really helped!

We'll be there! Wife and I will have been on the ship 3 times. We're bringing 3 cruise rookies with us.

Could so use some warm weather right now.

Yes…us too. We are in Florida right now and loving it.

This is sunshine not sunrise sunshine goes out of Charleston
@Eric Brown They are both Identical.Just wanted to know which one departs from Florida?
Oh ok sorry thought u were asking where this one was out of I'm sorry
Thanks for the input! I know of the Sunrise but not much about her. Sorry I cannot say much about her. Have a great day. 🥰
Great tour! We are going on the Sunshine in 3 weeks! It didn't seem like lots of people were on the ship. Was it early in the day?
I try to pick times when people are off the ship (port days) or early in the morning. The ship was pretty full.

At the end of January we'll have been on this ship 3 times. Deck 4 is definitely it's weak point. Also the shortage of whirlpools is a bummer.
Agreed. For being a “fun” ship, the tiny pool and lack of hot tubs is surprising.

Why do you avoid elevators on ship?
Great question. Taking stairs helps burn calories and allows me to eat what I want. I never gain weight on cruises. Thanks for the feedback.
Opinions on deck 6 versus 8… TIA
Not sure if I am able to answer this. Sorry. I only walked through those decks. I did not stay on either of those decks.
😃🙋
Hello, Joseph!
I think this is one of Carnival's oldest ships. I think it's about 50 years old? 🤔
It is an older ship. She used to be Carnival Destiny from 1996 until she became Carnival Sunshine in 2013.
Does the ship smell like poop
Can't say it does.
