Here in 2022 I listen to so many of these songs that we took for granted in the 70's, and didn't really pay attention to the words. It was just the sound that we sat around someone's house on a late weekend night, so stoned that when the album ended, we just listened to the needle thump against the label for a hour or more before anyone even got up to change the record. And now I hear the beauty in the music that was just the background of our lives when we were young. What a time to be alive, then and now.
Was there ever a better time to be alive than the 70's? Living was so easy back then. Music was the soundtrack to our lives as we started families & careers. Just some thoughts from someone who is becoming old. What a journey it has been! Be seeing you all as one by one we break on through to the other side.
Most of my friends and acquaintances from that time are gone now. But they live on in my memories. And I look forward to seeing them again after I walk across that bridge that they have already crossed.
@@rgoers Have to agree with you my friend I'm 70 years old I've never heard anybody cover Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Like the foxes and fossils, It takes a lot of personality to cover CSN&Y Song, This is the 1st time anybody's ever pulled it off At least to my eyes Or that I've heard, Keep rocking ladies and gentlemen.
He was actually in Hawai’i….and a friend there said “I bet ($100?!?) you can’t write a song here before you fly back to LA!” This was literally an hour or so before going to the airport.
In ‘86 I recall Cosby walking into the middle of the Boulder CU quad, playing his acoustic guitar, a group surrounded him and and along with him,,, amazing group …
A super rock folk group w/c there voices blend together like ABCD.A very harmonious voices and very articulated music u r always carried away. There is no group that can be replace in these present generation only copied and resang by others who are overwhelm by there voices and songs.God bless them always.!
@@JCTTBO Hey Tomlin....I did a version this week, pass by the channel....man that low part is magic! I was so enamored, I even did a follow up tutorial to teach the harmonies to folks...Rock on!
Great job on this cover! One of my favorites from CSN. Harmonies were perfect to the point I swear I hear David's vocal in there. Well done my friend 🎶
@@JCTTBO My favorite thing they did was "An Acoustic Concert", from 1991, I used to have it on VHS, I need to find it on DVD. I especially like Stephen Stills' guitar work on that.
@@uncle-andy-guitar-herbst Stills was great in that shows. I have this DVD, it really worth buying it. I would like to watch in blu-ray, maybe it's available these days!
Yes, I write some songs too. I have some of them here in this channel, but unfortunatelly I live in Brazil :-). I only know a few guys here that actually knows CSN. Always nice to discover more fans of CSN. Thanks!

There is no actual other side though.

Just a song before I go, to whom it concern. Traveling twice the speed of sound, it's easy to get burned.....

You have that high pitch voice of Nash's. Certainly works for this tune! Enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing.

This song was written by Graham as he was waiting to leave for the airport. His wife challenged him to write a song while he was waiting to go.

Compare the lyrics of this music era to that of today......then you'll how decadent society has become.
Oh, it's not all that bad.
