Indian Railways :- Not to be Loose Shunting , what does it Means

Hi guys this is Shubham Kumar come back with another video
And, in Today’s video I’ll Discuss with you about the Phrase written on many wagons of the goods trains “NOT TO BE OOSE SHUNTED”.
Well any how You must have noticed that this phrase is written on the wagons
So this simply means that Whenever Railway Authority Needs to Stunted these Wagons.. they must couple a Locomotive with that…because there are some wagons which can be loose Shunted…..

Actually it means that they should always be connected via brakes. This measure is used to prevent an untoward accident. Loose shunting is very dangerous on gradients. At least the parking brakes should always be activated to keep the rake from moving. This becomes important for BTPN rakes to prevent accidental spilling of petrol and which can be dangerous considering fire hazards.

This kind of directions are found only on BTPN wagons (in India) only which are used to carry petroleum products. But it may also apply to other kind of
materials also.
Loose shunting means vehicles being pushed by an loco and being allowed to run forward unattached (uncoupled). It includes hump shunting. Cranes, vehicles carrying passengers, workers, explosives, dangerous goods, livestock or any other specified vehicles should not be loose shunted.

Not....loose .sh.ted is written only on those wagons carryng petrolium products or inflamable prodts. because during heavy jerk, friction between cargo and cotainer will stimulate static electric charges whiconwill be a fire hazard.
