Agreed. The problem with the Honda Trail 125 at $3,999 is that it cost almost as much as a real motorbike. Unless you're a hipster, or have a lot of nostalgia for the old Hondas from when you were a kid, there's no good reason to spend 4 grand for a mini bike. But if they were 2 grand, I'd buy one just for the hell of it. That's less than most mountain bikes.
@@jakeviolet2195 The Honda dealers by the time they add on freight, assembly, paperwork processing fees you are lucky on a Trail 125 if the out the door price is only $5200+ which is way out of line. One of the things that attract me to the trail 125 is it would make an excellent camping bike that you could easily throw on a hitch carrier due to its light weight and small size. I would be interested in a Trail 125 at $2995 out the door IF they offered a model that used the 5 speed manual transmission like is available on the Monkey. There is no reason that Honda could not offer that configuration as they have all the parts already available to do so. But Honda will not drop the price that low unless something like the Yamaha comes to the U.S.A. and offers the PG1 at the pricing it is selling for overseas totally killing any Honda small bike sales.
As of now, the motorbike is only available in Thailand, Vietnam and a few neighboring countries. No word yet from Yamaha for a global release. Ride safe, bro...👍🙂
Once you lose all of the air in your rear tire at 40mph like I did, you will not care about a bbk. Takes a while to get the nerve to get back up to speed. It was really scary.

Ancora oggi, quando mi fermo ai semafori, molti mi chiedono che moto è,che cilindrata è e quanto costa (costava). Fu importata per un paio d'anni e basta. La ricomprerei 1000 volte!
One major part is missing , proper Chain encloser. Iike Yamaha TR1 Lube inside the enclosure, no manual lubing necessary . Only experienceed people know this.
@@jakeviolet2195 Naa that down facing pipe is just a shit design . Had to fix one or two of that style motor. The exhaust pipe is maybe going to be fine , the trouble is the head is easily cracked and mounting bolts for the pipe are sheered off at head level. Not a hard fix if you know what your doing! just costly
A mechanic at my local bike dealership once told me "there is No substitute for cubes " in 2022 I swolled the advertising hype and bought a new 350 Royal Enfield as did my Son , lovely looking bikes that were nice to ride , we both sold our bikes in the middle of last year , the reason for which lies in the quote from the mechanic! Before you spend your hard earned cash think about what you want from a bike and not what advertising tells you, stay safe.
A rather dull looking motorbike. More color is needed along with sparkling chrome plating. It looks cheap and nasty compared with the bright colorful motorcycles of the 1960s and 1970s. I would not buy one.

If that hit the U.S.A. at a price point of that shown $2000 or less they would never keep them in stock.
If this was brought to the USA the price would go up at least $1500 dollars or more.

I like it a lot, but the Honda CT 125 beats the Yamaha with its high exhaust and more metal looks. Both are very desirabke bikes.
