That Lawn Boy riding mower is made almost exactly like a Ford riding mower that I have and my Ford has a B&S 16HP twin cylinder motor, just like that the Lawn Boy has in it.
I just had a Peerless 800 on a John Deere 170 I sold. When their working, they work great, definitely not built like that anymore. Theirs still a lot of those around, outleast down here in NJ, the problem is their on older machines most people aren't parting with anymore, but I'm still getting them from time to time. Did you put the head tins back onto that Briggs before listing it, they say they allow for proper cooling. The engine could plausibly throw a rod or other damage without them if used that way long term correct?
As a new subscriber, I am trying to figure out how to check things quickly and as a Wheel Horse fan, most of my acquisitions are battery / coil ignitions. The only way I know to get a Briggs with start issues running is to take the kill wires off the coils, but that takes a bit of time to get in there to do it Of there is a video on this site on how to do the wiring disconnect for a quick start with a jump across the starter it would be nice to link to it or show how it is done. BTW my Briggs is a big boy 26 HP with a 52 deck Husky. Although I realize that Briggs over rated the HP in those days
You need pressure washer to clean first your product and manage your garage to be good looking and nice and eye catching to many stuff, like you are hoarder. That will be great content if you like.
