New 2025 Mazda EZ-6 - Most Beautiful Japanese Sedan

The 2025 Mazda EZ-6 is being developed through a collaboration with Chinese automaker Changan and is set to launch in China by the end of this year. This electric sedan features a sleek design and a dynamic stance, highlighted by elongated, narrow headlights that seamlessly blend into a wide, squared-off grille. At the rear, a full-width light bar is complemented by familiar circular elements reminiscent of previous Mazda models. Additionally, the car includes a retractable wing above the taillight, which can be deployed to enhance stability at higher speeds.
The Mazda EZ-6 measures 4,921 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,485 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,895 mm. It offers a trunk capacity of 479 liters, which expands to 1,174 liters when the second-row seats are folded down.
The interior of the Mazda EZ-6 mirrors the design of the Deepal liftback. It features distinct screens for the instrument cluster (10.1 inches) and the multimedia system (14.6 inches), along with a two-spoke steering wheel and a two-tier central console. Depending on the configuration, it offers an impressive array of features, including a dual-section glass roof, wireless charging, a heads-up display, heated and ventilated seats with massage functions, 360-degree cameras, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, and an automatic parking assistant, which also includes a remote parking option.
The Mazda EZ-6 liftback is offered in both plug-in hybrid and fully electric versions, with rear-wheel drive as the exclusive configuration. The hybrid variant features a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine (98 hp), which functions solely as a generator, paired with a 218-horsepower electric motor. The standard hybrid model is equipped with an 18.9 kWh battery, while other variants come with a larger 28.4 kWh battery. Depending on the battery size, the hybrid can achieve an all-electric range of 130 km or 200 km, based on the CLTC cycle.
The electric version of the Mazda EZ-6 boasts a 258-horsepower motor. The entry-level fully electric liftback comes with a 56.1 kWh battery, while other versions are equipped with a 68.8 kWh battery. Depending on the configuration, the range can reach up to 480 or 600 km. Additionally, the electric Mazda features a front trunk with a capacity of 99 liters for extra storage.
