    I love this technique and use it all the time. It's often how I start a gradient or series. Halfing them and putting up to 10 skeins sideways is also a technique I use frequently.

    • @ChemKnitsTutorials
      @ChemKnitsTutorials  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Halfing them by leaving part out of the pot? It is so funny that I dye twisted skeins all the time but haven't ever tried it like this! I really like how it turned out for having more yarn in the pan. I want to explore it more.

    • @jygood3718

      I was wondering if you twisted the skeins slightly less but fold in half and link the nylon tie into both ends to keep the twist together would also allow you to turn the over without loosing the twist?.

    I’m excited to see u dye all the techniques and versions with twisted skeins
    I love the idea of adding speckles to the remaining white areas
    This would also be a fun way to get some glazing on the skein with small amounts of dye by adding the twist after the original dye

    I do have this problem with the flourescent purple. The water seems to become never ever clear. I''d soaked the skein in vinegarwater during night, heatet it up again, let it cool again after the normal dye and microwave-session on the dyeing day.

    • @EveChan1804

    Would it be possible to do a waterfall kind of technique where the pan like the one in this video is tilted downward slightly and the dyes are added to the top and allowed to slowly flow down to the bottom? Maybe you've already tried that or it is impossible, just thinking aloud. Have a wonderful day and thank you for the amazing content! You are so inspiring!
