Great video. Licensed by Wera in North America. Have them both, use the Hazet more but add a Quinn socket set because I am missing two sockets I use often.
Thanks for the great comparison. I have the Wera Metric version. Grass might be greener on the Hazet side but I like the design better. Plus the Wera website shows that the 8001 A Zyklop Mini 1 Bit Ratchet ¼" in the set is made in TW not Czech Republic. Same with the sockets. The one component that I really like better on the Wera is the Rapidaptor.
As I know Wera bits and bitholder from this set aren’t impact rated. However, Hazet items looks like they are impact rated. Could you confirm that about Hazet set?
My opinion: --The 2-in bits of the Hazet are the game winner. --Like you, I prefer the handle of the Wera. --Swap both bit holders for either a DeWalt or a Weha bit holder.
I'm a big toolcheck Wera fan. The only complaint I've ever really heard about these is that they are expensive for what you get. The Hazet actually costs about 30% more so I'm not sure it really improves on anything that Wera offers. I do like the Hazet set, and Hazet tools in general, but not sure they really did much to compete with folks who already have the Wera offering.
I got a tool check plus years ago and it basically sat unused too big for me handle was about useless. I did drill the plastic rivets out of the handle holder and makes it a decent bit smaller. There is a bit check that is that without the sockets or rachet/handle and it's way more my style size wise. The advent calender holder is smaller has a better bigger handle and can even accept the double drive wera handle on it. That looks to be the gem from the advent calender. That hazet is very nice looking as it should that company dosent make junk. I buy stuff on az usa shipped from Japan all the time as the heavy discount and don't mind waiting. The wallet loves it too. I'd check the packaging some hazet bits are made in Vietnam (wiha sourced) or Taiwan. I'd definitely go for the hazet if I had to start fresh stuff like unusable handles is a waste of money from the start and adds value to the other. In some sets hazet has a rebranded wrap adapter in the blue color sourced from wera. The reason I know that is because the coo is chech republic and had wera address on it branded hazet. A good showing and I know alot of people live that toolcheck plus I just can't do it. My makita socket rails and a railer bit rail fit in my bag much better. If your looking for nice mini bit rachet I use one from tone japan buyable on regular az. It's very vice teeth and even comes in flex head if you don't own the icon bit rachet yet I'd suggest it along with tones full sets. They even have 1/2 drive rachets in 1/4 body's that are positively tiny under 4 inches for 1/2 drive. Thanks for the video appreciate the work you put into these.
@@MattHmm-rq6dn thanks Matt, I use the bit check all the time when I’m using my bag, but typically I use a Wiha bit holder with the bits. That Hazet is really nice, I like all of their tools, but you have to wait on a sale
I bet the licensed from Wera refers to the socket holder on the actual case; its very similar to the twist socket holders on the larger zyclops sets…
@@NARoutdoors yea, your right they are exactly like the zyklop
Great comparison!!! The 2 inch bits makes the hazel set better, but I like the finish of the wera better

@@123kdljfdl7 The Hazet smart holder bits are not impact rated. They are designed for manual use only.
But in a pinch I would use them in an impact

@@JohnDoe-df2zz other than the 2” bits and the bit handle is more usable I would agree
