- FSS, the developers who are also working on the E170/175 in Microsoft Flight Simulator, are back with another Tecnam aircraft addon which releases very soon.
The Tecnam P2012 Traveller aircraft, an Italian made commuter aircraft capable of cruise up to 10,000ft and speeds of around 175-200kts. It's used by a few operators around the world like ZilAir and CapeAir and in this video, we take a First Look Preview at the beta build pre-release!
On release, I'll put the product link right here

Dat prop sound on take off. 🤌
As someone who flies with Cape Air Virtual on Vatsim, I have been eagerly anticipating someone making this aircraft. So glad they look to have done an excellent job!
Ah nice!
Seems like a solid product and definitely an interesting looking thing! May be worth picking up to try out some new locations and routes 👍🏼
They seem to be quite good at the smaller jets yet polar opposite with how long the E175 etc is taking to get to a decent standard
Nice Video as usual, thank you! Regards from Mexico City
Just bought this in order to fly Cape Air Virtual. Looking forward to the learning experience. Great review and lovely landing 🙂
Looks promising! Thank you for sharing your thoughts:)
Cape Air employee here.... and a lot of time with 255CA. They did very well...
Are they still flying them?
@@BritishAvgeek we have a fleet of 30 we're operating, along with 66 402s, and a pair of BN2 s in the Caribbean
looks really nice. I'm interested to see what the missions will look like but great preview!
Thanks! They weren't quite ready hence they weren't in the video 🙂
Nice review Luke, its a cool little plane and they have done a nice job with it👍I have seen it in action IRL on Bigjet tv and if I remember correctly it was actually Cape Air that was flying it, pretty sure it was at Boston Airport.
Ah awesome - they're based in Massachusetts 🙂
@@BritishAvgeek Not a bad memory for an old codger😂
Yes Cape Air is the first and bigger client and this aircraft was made thinking at small carrier like Cape Air. It is selling very good for what I see ( I mean in real life) .
Thats a fun little plane. Definitely a pickup for me.
Gonna look good with the Osprey on the tail
Not really thought about a livery for it yet actually to be honest until you mentioned it!
Very good video! Except that you did the entire flight with the left fuel selector feeding from the right tank, which caused a fuel imbalance.
👀 might have missed that - I'll take a look, perhaps knocked it by accident and then never realised 😅
Really hope those engine transition sounds are addressed before release - shades of the Aerosoft Twotter.
Which exactly You are writing about? After take off?
@@mariuszkalinowski2879 - Throughout the whole flight. How could you not hear it? When he set full power, when he initially pulled the props back. There are sharp cuts between sounds. The source sounds they're using are really good but the Wwise config needs a lot of work.
A futuristic looking Osprey livery for this would look good.
Hmmm futuristic 😅 I'd have to try work out what that would look like
Food for thought: is it still "futuristic" if it is in use in the present... :D Otherwise, what does "futuristic" look like?
Is the cockpit view the same as is on the 2006? No side visibility really.
Nice presentation as usual, thank you! Is the keyboard in the cockpit usable?
Yes - that's what I was using to type and enter info into the FMS (though for some strange reason I don't think my cursor appeared in the recording?) 😅
Looks like it bounce up and down in cruise mode?? Seen that on other addons planes.
Yep, it was oscillating like mad in cruise. He literally wasn't interested, or pointing out anything of how this current version was working. Just the lightest look over the aircraft and more interested in animations like the internal cargo door. I expected more from this channel, than just a 'Avangel' style look over the aircraft. I bought this aircraft after seeing this review, and only THEN found all the bugs. Came back, watched this again and there were all of the issues, he just hadn't noted any of them. PS. The aircraft also does not work if you're in the MSFS SU14 beta. No avionics.
When you add the passenger weights in the tablet does it put passenger avatars in the seats like in the P2006t?
Yep
It does yes 🙂
What are more realistic, this or the kodiack? thanks!
This, the Kodiak is great - but this has way more features
@@calvinvandermerwe9136 very thanks!
Absolutely nothing was happening while you had the PFT test engaged. There should have been annunciations on the PFD for magnetos turning off and back on, etc. I suspects it's not functioning or is broken at the moment. Seemed strange that you didn't mention that nothing was happening and after a while you just gave up and said, "when the PFT is completed we can bring the engine RPMs back down". There are many bugs with this release. I love their P2006 but this was needs some serious work. Including the sound transitions which are not right.
This isn’t uncommon with new releases. I’m sure we will see updated versions in the near future and improvements.
Nice plane but a bit expensive. I'll wait for a sale.
hopefully you won't need to wait too long :)
I like this plane but the internal and external engine sounds do not match at all sounds like two completely different aircraft
check the comments at fs elite before buying people who bought it are not very happy
Why are some not happy?
because at the moment some of the real aircraft specs are not aquirate with the real life model .I ll copy someones review saying :The in sim performance comments (also in the aircraft.cfg) appear to be from a different aircraft and do not reflect the aircraft's real published specs, or their own on-line manual. List wrong cruise - 141 listed in sim, 173kts at 10,000 published. Real ac range listed as 950nm, in sim says over 1200.
" the aircraft seems really nice and for me at least the engine sound is amazing but for this price they need to fix some things, things that some people who love details will not like. @@BritishAvgeek
