Good, quality video. I’m in a process of figuring out my SL. I don’t have enough capital to do proper risk management. For now, I have to risk a certain % of my capital. I’m backtesting 2% vs 3%. What would suck is if I lost 3 trades in a row having 3% SL, id be down almost 10% of my capital vs. having a 2% SL, which would allow me to be wrong 5 times for 10% loss of overall capital

This is very useful information. :) I just have one thing I don't understand. It's the "stop loss rule" at 8:14. Do you adjust the stop loss upwards when the stocks (or whatever) rises, to preserve your profits, but still calculate a new acceptable loss from the profits gained? For example, if you buy for $1000 and accept a 2% loss of capital you set the stop loss at $980. The stocks rise by 100% to $2000, you then adjust a new stop loss at $1960?

So true...I've been an i-banker with a large institution in G7 country, CFA holder and going thru CMT, and still trying to figure out how to trade properly or better for past 10 yrs- it's very challenging. It is the ultimate high wire act...seemingly easy at the beginning, but once you go down the rabbit hole of your own psyche coupled with the realization of how dynamic and chaotic the market forces can be, the more difficult it gets. At times, or most often, the effort is not even linear...effort in does not equate reward out. But sticking to a process is the only chance you'll have to keep sane and to possibly not get your ass handed to you by the market. Remember, you are not the hunter, you are the prey.
From my own experience 3 years option trading, it's used to be easy to grow just $100 to $1000. This year even anything under 2k is too small of position size. Its all about your strike price as well. Buy an ITM strike it move a few an you make small gains but leaving room for error to stay in a trade for more profit (of course not following a stop loss lol) or you can buy ATM or a few OTM strikes an be out in just 15% quick easy scalps with more position size in a 10k account. I'm thinking of starting back at 5k or 7k next go around. Growing anything under 2k low gains these days contracts that's even OTM are starting at $300 to $500 smh

If SL at 1% you end stopped out almost every time and you´ll never be profitable and will demoralize.
