Thank you for showing us this!! You share the most amazing things!! Ive learned lots~ n~lots from you!! ❤😊🎉 Thank you ❤ PS..... I wish you would come out with a book a big book of all the crafts from this channel!
Could you PLEASE create a video on how to make a faux plant pot/planter. All the organic looking ones on Amazon are crazy expensive for a 6inch pot. Would love to see how you add your own twist to this idea.
If it didn't dry so light, it would make a cute rock garden, or fake soil to put artificial plants in. I wonder if adding black paint or food coloring would keep it dark. I loved the look of it when it was still wet. Love your videos by the way.
While I was watching you make this clay mixture that I kept thinking about my mud pies that I made as a kid during the hot hot summers. Coffee such a creative idea.😊😊😊😊
I've seen just coffee grounds and glue used to make fake soil. It's a bit messy, but the result looks good because you just use the regular school glue that dries kinda clear. Looks good for the top of an indoor pot. You just mix some glue and coffee and apply it to the top of your floral foam. It actually dries pretty hard and non messy, but it can get slightly messy making it, lol.
Just mix up some paper mache…it has proper amounts and ingredients….I’ve added sand to it also . Therefore I would think you could add salt or coffee grounds also. I used my concoction to do a round wall in a new, high dollar home to be featured in the Oklahoma Parade of Homes… Builders showcase there homes and always looking for something to standout..
You need a binding agent so as some have recommended plaster of Paris but I would go with Elmer's glue. So substitute the water with Elmer's glue and I think you will be able to roll it out thinner without breakage.
PVA glue, or polyvinyl acetate glue, is a type of adhesive commonly used in arts and crafts. It's known for its versatility, bonding various materials like paper, wood, and fabric. Example is Elmer’s glue
It was quite a grainy sand. The recipe is not perfect. If I’m going to make it again I certainly would do a few tweaks to it the first thing being adding some PVA glue.
Never seen this before I bet it would make beautiful beads!
yes it would
Your small bowl broke because the clay was on the outside and it shrinks and cracks if the mold isn't pliable.
Yes quite possibly but also rolled it too thin
Neat idea
Thanks
Smart, God bless you always, I do DIY and recycling, friend from Philippines
Thanks for watching
I loved the way it looked wet. Sad that it dried so light colored. I wonder how well it will last? Do you think it will break easily?
Yes it did dry quite light. If not too thin is is durable but not like a polymer or air dry clay
I live this recepi i want to try it 😊❤
Have fun
i did ceramic in the past for 3 year I think and i have dry ceramic clay doing in the future will do science with clay.
excellent

@@101Tanyah I would!!!!
@@rebeccacamacho-sobczak4282 Exactly!! It would totally sell out!!
Mom coffee! I love the natural look. Thank you for sharing ❤❤
You are so welcome!
Will it mold at all?
You want to make sure you dry really well.

I’ll look into it 🍀
@@OurUpcycledLife thank you so much
Can i use potting soil for the dirt or does it have to be grovel? Thanks for sharing. ❤
Yes you can definitely 👍

Oh what a great idea! That might work and I love the idea of fake soil … so clever !

The one that cracked and fell apart probably had more to do with the clay shrinking. It dried and shrank around something with a smaller diameter.
Yes that might be it

That’s a great idea. Thanks for sharing.
Love the result as ornaments. Maybe a corn starch cooked method might be a bit more effective.
I think so too!
Interesting idea but not sure why I would be making clay with coffee. Maybe I missed it in the video - why do this? what’s the point/benefit?
To try something new. Where is your sense of adventure?
It’s just a different clay recipe to try and see how it works all about the Crafting adventure
Use a dehydrator for the small things😉
Great idea! I need to look for a used one

I think your exactly right! ❤️
Ya, PVA was my first thought.
Yep next batch will have it
What is PVA! I’ve never heard of making clay and would like to do as you have shown us! Thank you for all your ideas❤️

Maybe add school glue? I am going to try this! Thank you so much.
Great idea!
Check out user Kai Tsai How to make coffee clay. She uses PVA, baby oil and no water. 😊
I couldnt find that video. Could you post link here :)
Great use of coffee grounds....how bout a short time in the oven, on low, to speed drying time? thx for sharing❣
Yes that might work! Very low setting because it did take quite awhile to dry
That did not look like sand to me, it looked like potting soil. Real sand might be better.

🤔...
Add pva
Yes I think so
Weirdest sand I ever did see...
It’s very coarse here
