      @@suelancaster6959 Tornadoes have been always a severe weather threat in TN, due to the fact that any cold or cool front that comes through, is meant with stronger resistance from the Atlantic and gulf ridges, over this part of the southeast. And that can generate severe weather on it's own.

    • @hildeschmid8400

    If this was a big substation, shouldn't it have knocked out power to tens if not hundreds of thousands of clients right there and then and keep them off-grid until that massive damage could be repaired? Do we have any reports about catastrophic power outages in TN?

    • @P_RO_
      @P_RO_ 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't know how big the substation was, but in general loss of a substation only affects a relatively small area. Most of the time it can be isolated and other parts of the power grid connected to compensate.

    0:20 I've never seen anything like this before. Holy cow! I don't even live in TN but I can only imagine the FEAR that put on peoples faces! Tornados in of themselves are scary, absolutely, but a tornado that has made something explode and then consumed the fire, momentarily becoming a fire tornado? That's on a whole new level of scary. Mother Nature does NOT PLAY!
    I am honestly shocked we don't see more tornados taking up explosions like that.

    I'm always amazed in these tornado videos to see people driving up and down the roads like it's a normal day. There's no way I'd drive towards a tornado, but there's also no way I'd be able to drive away from a tornado and not be able to keep my eye on it. You'd think people at a reasonably save distance would pull over to keep an eye on where it's going until it passes.
