they definitely deserve a grammy, but probably not aoty since it was quite obvious it was going to their close friend Taylor, it was awesome to see them so supportive of her win. If folklore wasn't released they would've probably taken the award home tbh
The lyrics to Man from the Magazine are so simple yet so fucking powerful. They will never know how it feels to be constantly objectified and patronised by men purely because you're a woman.
Summer Girl reminds me of ole Lou Reed, don't fucking matter cause I love these beautiful sisters......they blow my mind everytime, and I mean all the time! Hats of for the California ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Luv u Gals
ok 10:13 really mooved me not only because it's a beautiful song, but because it sounded so much like a Joni Mitchell song that for a second i thought "no way! could this be a cover of a song by Joni that i never heard?!". Amazing
A band I kept meaning to get round to. Lovely, digging them a lot. Not enough quality girl bands these days. Big up @Luna Raven for sending me down this bunny hole. Cheers love!
It was actually inspired by a Lou Reed song! They credited him as one of the songwriters for Summer Girl. If you'll listen to the bass there's a similarity. :)
@@talkinghead6274 I listened to women in music part 3 so far, they have a nice groove, so I'll definitely give them another chance (my favourite is the steps btw), I'll check the other two too! Thanks!
@@fmElse Brilliant, you wont regret it 😊😊!!! My favourite of this album is '3am'. All in all i'm less keen on the 'Women in music' album & I've given it a number of listens. In fact I think I only really warmed to about 5 or 6 songs only. However, the previous two albums upon the 1st listen I was sold. Also 'Days are gone' (Deluxe edition) has a few nice extras 'Send me down' is a great track!! Happy listening 😊😊
Actually WimpIII is a step up from the first two albums. I like them both but they are very much front loaded with weak songs in the second half. Some of the songs go on too long just repeating the chorus or a phrase for the last minute and a half. For example Running If You Call My Name, which for two and a half minutes is superb, but goes on for too long. WimpIII's tracks are shorter and the album has no filler.
@@ianhampton1208 I suppose the two previous albums, overall have a more 'poppier' (if you will) sound hence the repeated choruses. A sound that I tend to lean to. (Scratches chin) I'm gonna give 'Women in music' another listen (as I've left it for some time) and see how I feel 😆
0:00 Summer Girl
4:00 Gasoline
7:15 I've Been Down
10:13 Man from the Magazine
Absolutely love Danielle´s voice
LOVE!! shoulda won Album of the Year! their talent just gets richer & more brilliant as the years go by. Sis power!

Playing Man From the Magazine at the Grammys is the greatest power move ever
The 3 of them are just so insanely talented I fucking love them. Please take my soul I don't need it anyway.
God i cant describe how i love Summer Girl so much
alana when she joins in with 'the tears behind your dark sunglasses' melts my fricken heart
Brushes, acoustic guitar, saxophone and that bass just walking through it. Did these girls grow up listening to early Lou Reed or what?
Walk beside me, not behind me...mind blowing. LOVE!
Amazing performance SISTERS!! THANKS FOR OUR NEW BEST ALBUM 😘😘😘
WALK BESIDE ME NOT BEHIND ME 💫

Usually love your shit..but this was like alanis morrisettes b sides
they are cool but also boring, I don't understand why their appeal on me falls after 2 mins in a song
Oh no! Have you listened to their 2 previous albums? Both are solid pieces of work !!
