I miss Lavell and President Hinckley! Two of the greatest men to ever live. Hard to not cry after all these years when watching this. My childhood was great because of these two men.
Levell was such an amazing man. All of his players said he cared more about how they were doing as people. He wanted to know how the classes were, if they were dating. If they were married he wanted to see how the players wives were. I remember when President Hinkley made the announcement, it was so exciting! How fitting that such an amazing man that put BYU football on the map they name the stadium after him. If you live in Utah a radio station are playing all the interviews with Levell and his friend Ron McBride on 97.4 F.M.
That is so cool! For some reason they have this moment and other things about LaVell Edwards here in the USU Hall of Fame. So I had to look it up! So cool! 😁
