The thing that is unique about Owens voice is he has alot of vibrato to his voice and rarely holds a note without the vibrato which derives from his metal background in priest, he is one hell of a singer i saw malmsteen live in 2008 and they all were amazing especially malmsteen.
Oh yes this IS the metal Version i Agree, Fantastic, great performance, and Yngwie writes lots of great power ballads, "Like an angel" is great too, and many more.
Owens' voice is really good in the beginning, it's just his style to get kinda gruff with his voice... just his style. I assure you, if you really knew how hard it was to sing that song you may have been a little more forgiving with your comments. Not everyone is Joe. Joe made this song freaking magical, so anyone else singing it....it's gonna be a letdown from the original. Good job overall Tim. Yngwie was perfect as usual. The man is simply a guitar god like no other to me. Peace.
ol' Ripper is actually trying to sing a ballad, and doing quite well...not bad for a guy who's gotten his reputation screaming like he's still in Judas Priest...
ripper is not a good choice. it sounds bad, but i guess nobody wants to sing with yngwie anymore because he treat them bad. and malmsteens behavior is to much and ....a little bit silly. i love malmsteens old stuff but since 8-9 years , its not the same anymore. good guy, great older songs but...
That's alot of delay, Ripper Owens sucked with Judas Priest at Cowboys in San Antonio, I though, I was drunk, I told my guitarist he was singing two octives lower then Rob Halford...I sang Victim of changes correctly in mens room...owner of Stone City Attractions ...comes out of stall and tells me you should be on stage....
Yngwie's been through many singers, I wouldn't say Tim is the best he's had, but definatively a win-win for both of them, and I'm not disappointed!
You still look so good and of course your Playing is in the Heavens A true gift
Yeah, that's Tim Ripper Owens. Ex Judas Priest/Iced Earth vocalist. Really cool guy. I saw them live in October and they are a good match.

A bit decrepit vocals...but the song rocks!
i dnt like owen voice!
Joe Lynn Turner is about a million times better than Owens!
Great song! But... Ripper spoils everything...
Terrible timbre. I wonder how Yngwie support it.
