So… my mom watched this episode with me, and while you were walking through the sand, she was all “Where’s his hat? He’s gonna’ fry his brain!” Then minutes later, we both laughed and ma said, “He heard me. Good job Indiana Jones.” LOL - I had to share. Enjoy the vacation! and thanks for taking us along!
it's beautiful out here in utah. i'm from maine and got here in 1982 after joining the air force. station at hill AFB, altitude of 4788 feet above sea level. it took me a long time to adjust to that. moab is around 4096 feet above sea level, my people don't realize how much the altitude effects your breathing and effort it takes to walk and hike for hours. stay hydrated. i just love this vacation video, thanks
That's a good looking lady that you took a picture with. Just think of the people who taken the same path that you and your family have an seems the same view. The hardships might've went through. If the mountains could tell there secrets. THANK YOU SCHIMDT FAMILY. B SAFE 🚙💨💨💨💨
Your videos are so great, thank you very much for showing us that. I'm not american but one of my dreams is to go to the states of west like Utah, Montana, Wyoming, so I really appreciate your trips lately.
I absolutely LOVE your family vacation videos!! Thanks for taking us along! You all stay safe! Looking forward to tomorrow’s video. BTW: love the hat! You and me both-dry heat is amazing!
Place is cool, was there 20 years ago, rode bicycle on slick rock trails and backcountry trails, came into arches from backside rode threw and back out to highway then back to town, loved it! 😎
I go thru there all the time. Such an awesome area. Visited before. Going back next spring. Go up to the Giants museum just north. I hope you really enjoy it. One of a kind place.
Nice family vacation schmidts reminds me of the 70's on vacation in the Adirondack in ny settings outside the little motel ,Kurt the only thing that your missing is white tube socks and saddles
Thanks for sharing the vacation videos Kurt! Makes me feel great, knowing this left ankle of mine is almost healed up over 50% but I have a few more weeks of physical therapy to do yet, and will continue to do more of my own physical therapy at home 🏠 Looking forward into getting back into the rig before too long as well. Miss hauling the Kubota equipment around the State of Texas. Y’all continued to stay safe Schmidt family! Blessings to y’all as well, and hope to one day meet you all.

My wife and I were there last February, and we hope we can return this Fall. Hope you were able to visit dead horse point state park.. The views are amazing.
Happy family vacation. There’s so much out here see look into Colorado national monument in Grand Junction its worth taking a day and the western museum in downtown Grand Junction is also worth the time . Stay safe.
I love the rocks and thank you for showing the petroglyphs. The Native Americans really told the story, some of my distant relatives. Glad Sarah is feeling better 😊🦮🐕🦺🐿🐠🐹
keep an eye out for 'Jackalopes.". Part antelope and part jackrabbit. . I'm glad you got a hat. Sunburn on the head is quite painful. Paige is having way to much fun. Such a comedian. :) Great experience for Troy as well. It is good to see a part of the country you don't see to often. - Sara seems to be having a great time as well. I see the humidity dropped down a bit. My kind of weather . Even 100+ is tolerable when its dry heat. Keep the videos coming. I'm reliving my childhood when I used to go to visit National Parks and forests. Stay safe and hydrated.
G’day great views the airing down is the best thing you can do, by the way is the heat getting to Page she keeps going into what look like catatonic stretches. It’s been a great trip and I’m glad that you are filming it stay safe John
That dirt road is a "freeway". You should see some of the ones we've driven. On TH-cam search for videos of the Rubicon Trail and some of the trails in Johnson Valley, Sledgehammer and Jackhammer.
Kurt, there is a reason you were able to get a reservation at 1pm - As the old song says, “only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun”! Reservations are also available in Death Valley from 10am to 4pm most days of the year. LOL Be safe and love the hat - makes you look just like Harrison Ford, without hair. LOL
Man that was a beautiful place I wish I was there to explore it myself but I tell you one thing as long as your daughter and your son is in the videos they will definitely have you laughing the whole time you was talking in the in the car your daughter was doing faces to make everyone laugh that's all right I know you love your family but I know in your mind you like okay the vacation it's got to be over smile have a blessed day and keep up the good work with the videos and I can't wait for the next one
Mother Nature at her finest, just think of the millions of years it took to make that view, and think of the vast numbers of people who have walked that land, before we came along. Defies belief...
Kurt y’all better check in on opie the other part of Schmidt family trucking. He’s running adds on truck school grads to get the 9 running and just to cover his cheeseburger habit..he’s cutting rates like a seamstress in a chinese sweat shop. 🤣🤣😳
Opie would have loved it, still praying for dad..y’all be safe✝️🙏🏼💙🚛

Missed it this time
Back post WW2 most all roads in the western US except major highways were simple gravel/dirt roads. What you were on is a great road less traveled.
You all look to be enjoying yourselves which is the main thing from an holiday
I think that White Porsche was doing some Pretending too! Indiana Kurt!
You guys should visit the four corners too if you haven't as yet
Wear your western hat trucking you look great in it.
12% is much better than 99% humidity in Georgia this time of year.

Welcome and thank you for watching
I love the rocks and thank you for showing the petroglyphs. The Native Americans really told the story, some of my distant relatives. Glad Sarah is feeling better 😊🦮🐕🦺🐿🐠🐹
We were finding them all week here and there

With no humidity I can handle 100s all day long
Jackalopes are native to Wyoming more then Utah
G’day great views the airing down is the best thing you can do, by the way is the heat getting to Page she keeps going into what look like catatonic stretches. It’s been a great trip and I’m glad that you are filming it stay safe John

I have always wanted to go to the Rocky Mountains. Glad you and your family our enjoying your vacation. ✊🏼
Rocky Mountains are 250 miles to the east.
@@tedecker3792 Ok professor 👍🏼 never said that’s where he is I said I have always wanted to go there.
Sure you're not related to Mr Indiana Jones, Schmidt? Something about the hat and the sceenery...
Stay safe, guys!

Lol, ya he has been getting pappered at mom and dad's
Troy needs one of those bikes. And you need a 4 door jeep not the truck type cause it's not a jeep
Moab is great for camping, weird everyday at 4pm the wind would kick up.
To much air will get you brokeing springs next . Never put the Max's what the tires say on them .
Cricket it’s trucking with Smchidit
Looks like a nice place to visit. But I would have to do it in the fall. I just can't be in that kind of heat.
Indiana Kurt lmao 🤠🤣
Moab is so beautiful, but my time there was ruined by the people. The drivers & the workers in the restaurants made me never want to go back
I can see where your coming from, I had a few similar issues as well. But I just kept going to a diffrent restaurant every night.
*why is it 102 outside? * LOL. i've been asking this same question last 22 out of 23 days (Texas). it actually felt amazing at 98 yesterday !!! lol
That place y'all are at some people called it home for more than 10,000 years ago and those were petroglyphs they drew on the rocks what was there
No people around back then
That hat is you Kurt
So you guys went to Archie's park, are going to DagWood's park also?
No
Random question, what is that black antenna looking thing on the green jeep towards the beginning of the video?
A cell phone booster.
almost expect at any time to see the coyote go past on a rocket or some thing chasing the road runner
Lol
the jeep suspension must be crap?.....hello Paige
It is a rough rider for a new vehicle
Don't fall an bump your head on this vacation if you know what I mean lol
Hi
Hello
Got to keep feeding that TH-cam algorithm eh,schmitty??
