They should have a "big box of backgrounds" made of cardboard with an occasional mini. Filled with common places and things in the Fallout universe. Large fold out paper maps of caves and underground facilities. Each could be an adventure in itself.

the resin power armor is just chunkier than normal, they give off that 40k look, while the plastic models are more accurate to in-game proportions.
Your mic does a great job of capturing your voice. It also does a really good job of capturing the bass reverb every time you make any contact with the table or anything on the table.
Heheh yeah this mic a year ago wasn't too great as it attached to the desk, meaning if the desk shook so did the mic. Thankfully I got a new one since! Sorry about that :P
I bought 2 sets of the brotherhood of steel miniatures and basically flooding the battlefield and mercilessly killing super mutants

Was hyped for this when it was announced, sadly no shops in my area will be carrying it in-store. Leaving the crowd for it little to none for the price.
Fun concept, and play. But I'd be upset if I paid that much for a game, and the figures came bent and scattered in the box. Especially considering the longevity and price of the shipping.
Also Chris Birch and John Webb stated that for tournament play they'd have to be grouped by faction. 👍
I've watched a few other unboxings now and no one else had that issue. Mine was sent in a different box than most, directly from Modiphius (I did not buy this) so it came a little banged up - you can see the corner of the box is damaged as well. This is absolutely not representative of most people's experience, but even then I fixed it easy enough :)
Sucks about your local area :( I haven't seen this in my FLGS yet either - but perhaps it's still a bit early?
@@TheKingofAverage unfortunately, I've called around and they all said it was too expensive for them to shelf, but they'd do special orders for anyone who wanted it. At that rate I could just order myself though.
Oh that's a bummer :( They should totally order at least the starter kit and have it available to try out. I imagine it'd generate a lot of buzz as the IP is well known.

It's nice that they provide baggies, but that game tray doesn't seem to be designed to accommodate sleeved cards. Ah well...

That unboxing - oh, man. What a lovely surprise. I'have been following this game quite a bit, initially expecting it to be released via kickstarter. Anyway, grateful for this video a lot, King of Average. Components seem top-notch, scenic set especially. Pity v some minis are bent.
Perhaps I wil order it, at least the starter set, but I dont know whether the FFG fallout wouldnt be a better choice. The whole range of Modiphius series is quite expensive altogether .yet, I prefer a war game to an adventure.

Oh Deathclaw will be soon regardless of what people vote on :D Fallout by FFG has fantastic minis but is a very bad game - seriously one I won't be playing again, ever. I have a review on that one if you haven't seen it yet. This game looks quite promising and has a ton of modes (not every day you can play a war game solo!)
As for the bent minis, it happens. Mine was packaged differently that others would have, and you can order a resin version that wouldn't have these issues.
From what I can tell, while everything else added is wonderful, the core box contains everything you'd need to get a TON of table time with it.

I apparently missed your review, but it's yet another voice saying the FFG fallout game is mediocre. I'm curious if any expansions fix it a bit. Thanks anyway.
Fallout: Wasteland Warfare Starter Set (pvc) would cost me here roughly 54 euro (plastic).

Mostly likely I will yes! It'll probably be the one I do after Starcadia Quest launched next week.
As for FFG's Fallout, there is an announced expansion but sadly it doesn't fix the issue. While one of the issues is that the core box only has 4 scenarios the fundamental problems is a terrible, terrible combat system and a victory condition and quest chaining that is so bad you might as well get 3 friends, roll a die and place it under a cup - do literally anything else and come back in 3 hours to see who rolled highest to determine a victor. These weren't fixed in the upcoming expansion.

Gotta have it all! They throw in special stuff to all the time. For instance the only way to get the Cap Mine card is to buy the Nuka Cola caps ;)
You can build your army up however you like in Narrative mode, settlment mode, solo mode and coop mode. If you look into a more competitive play, that would be Battlemode... there are restrictions in battlemode, that can be downloaded via the Modiphius website :)
Once I get through the novel of a ruleset for all of the different modes I'm sure I'll cook some exciting pairings up :D Looking forward to it!
Disappointing when miniatures get bent in transit but kind of expected unless packaging is excellently designed (rare). The Super Mutants sledge hammer is something I would cut out and then fix by drilling small holes in fists and replacing with a piece of metal rod.
Oh I like that metal rod idea! I've still yet to see any consumer get bent minis like I and a few other press have so no worries there :)
The tray could be better, but it's also still better than nothing and I'm glad it's included!
Get this painted up and I will drive out to play this with you haha. Game looks so much fun. Plus NW representing.

Could you use a hair dryer instead of water to fix the bent miniatures
Yes some people do. I feel that's a bit more fiddly as you have to either hold it or attach it to something, and generally can't be as exact as you can with water (depending on what's bent) but it can certainly work with most plastic mixes.

Yeah that's actual not bad at all for a neoprene game mat, some cardboard terrain purpose built for a game and some resin miniatures.

Oh yes, if you saw my review I make my thoughts on Fallout by FFG abundantly clear - great minis, garbage game. Seriously it's a stinker. Between solo, co-op, scenario and pvp this game is surely to be good in at least one of those! :P
I enjoyed this video but I looked at price compared to what I would call a quality product. Sorry but a cardboard building for what the price is on the website is like a no go for me. I understand this is imported but 200.00 for a "starter set"?
$80 for 3 resin pieces, a very high quality cardboard building, various other terrain bits and a large neoprene gaming matt seems pretty worth it too me, though obviously value per dollar is judged my many differently.
As far as entry level price, I think it's pretty competitive. Kill team costs twice as much. It comes with amazing plastic terrain, but no option for a neoprene Matt either.

Do not get me wrong I Love Fallout, I have all the video games but when I looked up the Red Rocket set it was 99.99 plus 19.99 shipping and handling. The neoprene matt is a plus but this is just something my wallet can not afford to get into. :) Model building now is just as bad 4.00 and 7.00 for paints plus another 25.00 to 30.00 just for the model. For what it is worth though I really enjoyed the video though.
Yeah I can understand that! When I was in college I couldn't spend time or money in ANY board games at all! With all of the amazing games out there right now even I miss some and I have a channel to run lol
I'm a HUGE Batman fan and Knights Model has a Batman miniature line I'd love! However I'm in the same boat as you were I can't seem to get a break from other priorities to get it.
Bougth the starter set whit PVC (when i buy they dont give the option for resin) In your opnion. The quality from resin is much better than PVC?Good video and a new subscriber =D
Welcome! Thank you very much for watching/subscribing! Comparing the two, Resin is very much better :) The PVC is good, but the detail is a little lax. Thankfully, everything beyond the starter set is resin :) Once it's all painted it won't be noticeable anyway :D

What name brand or dept stores carry these or these types? We have a couple Hobby and gaining shops here in town ( Kelso & Longview WA.); but these will be at highball prices! Also, what type of game is this like (?): WH40K, or Star Wars ( highly underrated and greatly recommended by me and the community)!
The coolest game/series to paint and to just have/display/collect etc. is: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

TMNT issue #1 1st print was going for about $120 ($260 in today’s inflation!). Probably like $1000 now?!? I’ll G it later n edit this post.
Anyways; yeah, the conic wasn’t nearly as a goofy or childish as the cartoon series that followed a few short years later, it was a lot more ambiguous as well as a whole hell of a lot more violence and language...good,stuff. Of course the comic was so popular, especially with kids, that they had to scale down the “adult situations“ and make it corny as hell in the cartoon and everything sense.
Anyways again, the paintable miniature figurines, and the subsequent game followed were awesome as fuck; I would love to get my hands on some sweats, even some repaints!

The game is Skirmish game like 40k but smaller scale, however it has a ton of different modes including Co-op!

Yeah that entry point is always kind of hard to nail. I think, compared to other tabletop games, $80 is a FANTASTIC price point. Most are about double that.
If you're planning on playing with someone you can try going half and half :) - getting everything though...that's where the cost really hits! lol
The King of Average thanks for replying man I love this game as well as many other board games this one is kind of unique one as you get to build it up and paint it too! Also the price isn’t that bad, but if you want to get the entire set, it’ll be a bit costly
Even then it's actually pretty cheap compared to other tabletop games. The fact that you can own EVERYTHING there possibly is to offer right now it's about $900. In Warhammer that'll get you one completely fielded army, not everything ;)

Guys, seriously now, there Is a mission scenario in the box. It's kinda hidden at the front of the box.
Whatcha mean? There are plenty of scenarios in the campaign book including 5 tutorial ones you play while reading the rules (which is awesome) and then there are quest/event cards as well. Did I perhaps miss something?

I've floundered on that one. I want to do a final video for it. Perhaps that's a "24 hour" one, perhaps it's Charlotte painted up? Kind of a tough nut to crack with all of the timings involved. I want this video to be up for at least 2 days though, preferably 3 before another video is posted.

Thanks you very much Scuba! In my mind, if you are watching an unboxing it's to see it actually fully unboxed with thoughts provided by the person unboxing it throughout the whole video. Heh, yeah it's certainly a tabletop game! :D Hopefully I can remember it all well enough! Luckily they break down portions of the rules so you can read some of it and then play a tutorial, then read more and play another one.
