Hello, Thanks for the great video.
    I've got two questions.
Do you recomend cast iron or aluminium for the minion square?
And what would make the minion a better deal over the magic square since the magic could be split in two minion squares as well?
    Thanks

You have a good point on the magic square. I guess the difference would be the minion has the 60 degree built in and the minion has holes to clamp through.
As far as the aluminum and cast iron the reason I went with cast was because it is more durable the aluminum overtime will get gouges scratches etc but the aluminum is more resistant to weld spatter. Both great options however

I have aluminum and weld spatter stick to them I also have several cast iron....cast iron is what I recommend

@@westweld Do you find the cast iron ends up with magnetized bits of metal stuck to it though? Been looking at these and buying a set, and aluminium seems better in that regard, I felt the annoyance of having to clean or remove anything that is magnetized to the cast iron might well negate some of the benefits on strength (plus they are damn heavy at that point!)

@@Semajal it gets a little magnetic but the good greatly outweighs the bad.....all the aluminum ones I have are much more damaged and worn then the cast iron ones that I bought at the dame time....I use them on my youtube channel in almost every video

@@westweld Good to know! I will check out your videos and consider going with the cast iron then :) In some ways wouldn't mind a mix, cast iron minion, alu on some of the larger ones (the weight gets pretty mad!) Looking to buy a 4 piece set though and to hopefully then not have to worry about it for a long time! (so cast iron may then be the way to go)
