Oh my gosh, I have not crocheted before and followed your directions, and it's done!! I'm so happy! Thank you so much for posting such easy-to-follow directions!
Julia, I am an intermediate level crocheter, who avidly watches crochet videos, I enjoyed watching your unique pattern. This is a great pattern for all levels, especially beginners. Great job, Good luck with all your projects...
Hey! So I used Hometown USA super bulky size 6 yarn and a 11mm crochet hook and I chained 190 chains to get to 200cm. Hope that helps! *remember, the smaller your yarn, the more chains you will have to chain to get to 200cm.

I made one of these last year for myself, and I soooo love it! I have had so many people ask for one as well. Thank you for the pattern! Great instruction as well!
Hi there! I made this last year and LOVE it. Many, many compliments! In North America, I used a 6 Bulky yarn and just did dc all through instead of hdc/dc as it doesn't make too much of a difference in the final look. I also only did mine about a metre & a half long as opposed to 200cms. I made one that measured 200 cm's and it came out over eight feet long while in the infinity loop! Absolutely beautiful hood and still one of my best projects. Thank you so much!
Thank you for this! Your instructions were perfect and very easy to follow. I just finished mine and I love it. Only took me a couple of hours. I think I will add a big button (or just a bit of velcro) under the chin to pull the hood closed for added warmth on those really cold Canadian winter days.
Firstly I would like to thank you for this great video, and would like to ask how wide the hood portion of the scarf needs to be. I've used a different grade of yarn and so this has been an issue.
Beautiful! I followed your tutorial and found it very easy to follow. Great pattern too :) thank you for sharing this with us! I made mine with a thinner alpaca yarn, it took awhile longer to make but since you gave measurements, it turned out very well.
Thank you for such a clear video. I read the comments. I think Juan meant...."Can you make a different pattern (panner) using the same basic format. My question: How would I change what I do if making a scarf that does NOT connect...just chain a few and turn work and follow the pattern? Please product other hooded scarf tutorials featuring other patterns.......clear and wonderful!!!
I did this scoodie last year after I saw your tutorial. I was given a lot of complements on how original it is and in Austria, I was even offered money to sell it haha. I wanted to thank you so much cause I feel great whenever I wear it and its all thanks to you!!!!!!!
I think it depends on your yarn and your gauge - if you crochet using whatever yarn you want using whatever needle you want and make the chain until it is 200cm long the pattern with work - correct Julia??
Done!! :) Mine is green and I love it! The hood is a little too big for my head, but I can fold backward the edge a bit and it's even more cute. Thank you for this video!
I just completed my scoodie. I love it! Thank you for your easy-to-follow instructions. How do you wrap the scarf so that it looks like the one that you're wearing?
Hi Julia, thank you for answering so quickly. I guess what I meant was the yarn you used was it like a 5-chunky or 6-bulky? Sorry I wasn't clear as to what I meant the first time. Thank you
Grat tutorial, I'm going to try it! Do you think I can follow your instructions about the lenght of the loop and hood also by using different stitches from yours?
Hi! Once I got the hang of the 2 stitches, it was somewhat easy to do, however, my two stitches, for some reason, look similar. The double crochet I'm thinking should be smaller, tighter. instead, it is looped. Should I have used the stitch instead of the loop for the double crochet?
thank you so much!! i made one and its so sweet! I saw your video "Doggy sweater crochet tutorial" , but in russian:))) i know lots of dogs owners who thanks you for your videos)))
thank you for this pattern i also like how you teach this....but i have a question. how many skins did you use or would you use if iuse dubble strand of worsted weight 4 i just bought 2 skins. will i need more?
thank you thank you thank you for such a clear and simple video. you are my hero! I needed a last minute christmas gift for a friend and you just showed me precisely what to do! :D xxoo
Thank you so much for the easy-to-fo;;ow tutorial. does it have to be made as a connect circle, rather than a scarf on the bottom part? I like to wrap a scarf more tightly. I am using my favorite yarn, Bernat Softee Chunkee.
Hi, I love this tutorial my boss asked me to make this for her. I would like to know what is the yarn weight. I can't find the yarn you used maybe I can find something similar to it. Thank you
Okay, thank you very much. I have just one more question then I will hopefully stop bothering you. For the hood when you measure 70 cm which in USA version is 26 inches is that actually 13 inches on both sides to add up to 26. If I do 26 inches on both sides hood would be way to big. Thank you for your help and patience.
Very clear tutorial! I am a novice and you made it easy to follow. Just wondering if this same pattern can be done with a thinner yarn like a medium #4?
@@Woolpedia-Kanal Thanks for your response! I would imagine I would have to change the amount of stitches in order to get the correct size. If that's true is there a method to do that?
You're welcome :) You can put the chain of chain stitches onto your neck to see if it is big enough for you. No counting necessary. There is no correct site. You can have a smaller loop scarf which you put only once over your head or you could have a bigger one where you wrap it twice or three times over the head. Just what you like more.
Hi. I love the video. However, I am having hard time to know how many stitches are 200 cm. Also what is the hook size that you used? Other than that, I will do my best to make this beautiful project while following your video as much as possible.
hey! thanks for sharing this I just started making one but I have a question, I am using a sise 4 yarn and a 6mm hook so I worked more than 11 rounds but how weide should the hood part? so I can finish off.
+Judy Worthington Oops sorry for being redundant. I found the answer in another person's comment. In the future I will scan the comments to see if someone else had asked the same question previously. :-)
im going to be making more of these are there more patterns like this an also theres a men pattern that iblike but cant seem to get it down for a mens beanie it like a spiral down i believe crochet zombie makes the pattern mine always comes out small please help thank
HI there i am in the USA can you tell me exactly how many chains i got to crochet,, and how many chains i need before placing the stitch markers for the hood part.. PLease..

What did I do wrong? Thank you. I know the stitches and have made several things. My scarf went around and around but it didn't get wider. Thank you.
***** To get the square shape, you have to sew it. After crocheting, you'll just have a loop scarf like you say. That's why I gave you the hint, to watch the full video ;-)
Woolpedia Thank you!!I gave up when I came to the part in the video where I saw your's was like a square. What time in the video can I see your's before you sew it to get the square?
Oh my gosh, I have not crocheted before and followed your directions, and it's done!! I'm so happy! Thank you so much for posting such easy-to-follow directions!

Sheena O'Connor Many thanks Sheena, great that this tutorial helped :-)
I find when you use a bulky yarn you don't need so many chains
Hi Nata, yes the length is good for orientation.
This is a great tutorial. You have such nice clean stitches but I would have loved to seen this on when you were done
Just watch the first seconds of the video for this :)

This is a great pattern, very clear, and easy to follow. Thank you so much for sharing your talent. :)

Hi Anna,
the ball is about 200g. Hope this helps.
Hi, no there are not more rows, but for the hood part you should use different stitches as shown in the video
Beautiful! I followed your tutorial and found it very easy to follow. Great pattern too :) thank you for sharing this with us! I made mine with a thinner alpaca yarn, it took awhile longer to make but since you gave measurements, it turned out very well.

Hi Anna, I used "Rellana Caprice Big" yarn.

Hi Julia, your work presented is just gorgeous!
Thanks so much for sharing w/me.
I just completed my scoodie. I love it! Thank you for your easy-to-follow instructions. How do you wrap the scarf so that it looks like the one that you're wearing?
Hi, actually the stitches are so big you should see it ... Anyway at the beginnig of row 2 and dc for the hood I am crocheting trough the back loop.
that was real good I like the pace you showed everything and the clarity. thanks
Hi Julia, thank you for answering so quickly. I guess what I meant was the yarn you used was it like a 5-chunky or 6-bulky? Sorry I wasn't clear as to what I meant the first time. Thank you
I made this a few years ago, thanks to you. I love it.
Hi Julia, Thank you... you've been so kind!
I really like this, it is so cute. Love that thick yarn too.
Grat tutorial, I'm going to try it! Do you think I can follow your instructions about the lenght of the loop and hood also by using different stitches from yours?

You're welcome Antonia!
Hi, I used 2 and a little bit more.
Omg I'm gonna try this. Someone ask my to make them a hooded scarf u made this seem so simple. Thank u this was so helpful
Watching this twice! 150 cm = approx 59 inches, so 200 cm is about 60 - 62 inches. 1 cm = about 2.5 inches.
1 inch = a 2.5 cm.
Thank you sooo much for this tutorial. I can't wait to get to the store for more yarn!!

Ness Zuniga Hi Ness, please find the information in the description box. Greets, Julia
Yeah, I don't see it. It's just a bunch of links to what you used.
You can do as you like :-)

honeycat535 Hi, you don't need exactly this yarn. Same size is enough :D
thanks :)
hi I'm making scoodie and my question to you is could I st more than 11 rows? and st ruffle edging on the scoodie scrape part?

Elaine Giggi Hi Elaine, you can also crochet a scarf. Greets, Julia
I made it 💃🏿💃🏿💃🏿. Thank you for sharing.

Hi. I love the video. However, I am having hard time to know how many stitches are 200 cm. Also what is the hook size that you used? Other than that, I will do my best to make this beautiful project while following your video as much as possible.
Hi Maria, just chain until you‘ve got 200cm, don’t need to count stitches. Choose a hook size matching to your yarn. Merry Christmas! Regards, Julia
hey! thanks for sharing this I just started making one but I have a question, I am using a sise 4 yarn and a 6mm hook so I worked more than 11 rounds but how weide should the hood part? so I can finish off.
also i made one for my toddler whos 4 an it was pretty easy just needed a few extra stitches then the adult one :) also the hook was a I/9- 5.50mm
BONITA BUFANDA, GRACIAS POR SUS TUTORIALES ME GUSTAN MUCHO.
If I didnt use a bulky yarn would fit smaller or would I have to make more chains
That was awesome. I really hope I can do it.
Benjamin Rosenberger Of course you can!
This scarf is very pretty! How much yarn does it use??
Hi Sam, just have a look in the description box.
Thx so much for a video, that I can actually follow. Are you going through the backloop while doing the HDC?
+Judy Worthington Oops sorry for being redundant. I found the answer in another person's comment. In the future I will scan the comments to see if someone else had asked the same question previously. :-)
Judy Worthington - That's what I'm doing now... I 'm not sure I have enough yarn... 😀😀😀
Wonderful and easy. Thank you for the great video, I can't wait to whip one up :)
so basically do a bunch of chain and measure occasionally?
Can you use a not so chunky yarn, like a 4 ply, and if so how long should it be?
This is amazing pattern!!! :) One thing I would add is that You make Single Crochets in Back loop only. Anyway.. definitely my future project :)

This looks so cozy! Do you have a written pattern? I'd like my mother to make me one, but she doesn't have access to the video
Hi Elizabeth, there is no written pattern yet.
I enjoy your video and it is very informative however, you didn't mention how many skeins of yarn are to be used for this project.
Thanks Barbara, I did, just open the video description.
Es un diseño innovador y creativo, me quedo muy linda. GRACIAS.
Just starting, love this easy pattern..
Many thanks Dora!
Could this same pattern be used with worsted weight yarn as well or would u recommend the bulkier yarn
Is the double crochet supposed to curl on the hood? If not, what did I do wrong? Please help me.
Das ist ja mal eine gute Idee!
Thank you so much. Starting this today!
You are great!really good! Thank u for sharing ur ideas!
Can you please show how to wear / drape on your neck?
Hi, I did not count my stitches.
Hi again. Sorry to bother you, but if I were to make this for a child how many cm long would I make it?
I ran out of yarn at the hood with to double crochet is there a way I could add new yarn or start over
Hello, how many yards of yarn is needed for this pattern?
what yarn did you use. I went to the site and they were sold out....Is there another brand I could use?
