    I find the 150kw chargers are the better choice, as the 250kw are usually shared meaning you end up only getting 125kw speed.

    You said it was about nine cents or $.90 per mile but can you try to calculate that in terms of miles per gallon if let’s say the car runs at that type of fuel efficiency level if that makes sense also when you play the music in between the shots of you talking it’s pretty loud can you make it brighter so I always have to turn the volume down otherwise it’s a cool and useful video thanks

      😂 Toyota’s probably, Mazdaaa hhahaha. Yea, Supercharging should really only be used for trips. Gas in Cali is just cheaper then it used to be.

      Now those cars he just “sold” are being traded in. It’s costing me close to $50 to fill up a tank in my civic. I just put an order in for my Y.

      @@dis1pnoy I am still thinking to buy Tesla model 3 or RAV4 hybrid. In this video, I feel like it costs similar Gas vs Supercharge. I am still thinking if extra investment in Tesla is worth it? I am gonna be using to drive with Uber.

    Battery anxiety is REAL and Tesla owners always ignore this fact. What an absolute hassle and pain in the ass it has been owning this thing. I'm going back to gas, it's not worth the hassle

    I should think it could be a real problem if you get stuck in a bad traffic jam and the nearest charger is several miles out of the way, esp in the winter. Or, if you're in a real hurry--say to catch a flight or get to a meeting.

    Currently in May 2024 $18 dollars of unleaded gets me either 139 miles or 66 miles depending which of the 2 cars I drive 🤣

    How often are super chargers not working? Because in Culver city they are usually down? Also did you get the adapter to charge at electrify america? They told me they are about $400

      I did not get the adapter for electrify. I drive past the OC superchargers a lot and one of them is usually down unfortunately each day

      @@DennisCW Thanks for the update. Can you also do a review on anything; if you had to take your car into the dealership. The back door usually gets jammed.

      i mean yeah.. if you own a honda civic but that's not comparable. that's $20K car Vs a $40K car. the super charger you'll be charged a premium but at home.. you're paying 1/3 of the cost.. especially in CA where gas prices are so high

    What if you are in the summer and it’s hot, does running air conditioning affect charging speed? What if there is no real place to hang out?

    That’s a tough cost but keep in mind that’s limited to when you have to supercharge and in that area. Not same cost across the country. Also with electric you have thousands of options to charge for free at businesses, companies, office complexes, etc. aren’t going to find anywhere that you can stop and get gas for free.

      Even in LA there are a bunch of free CCS chargers scattered across the city. I’ve done 1500 miles since I got my M3LR only used a Tesla brand charger once for $7.50. All the rest of my charging has been free with my CCS adapter, even Pasadena Glenarm supercharger location actually has like 5 city branded 135kw chargers that are free with CCS/Chademo

    Wow 36 cents is crazy expensive. Pepco charges about 14 cents (transmission and generation)
    Supercharger is actually more expensive than fueling a Prius @_@

      Indeed, it’s unfortunate. Supercharging should really be used to trips and also gas is cheaper right now in California then it used to be

    My friend today he charged his Tesla from 1% to 100% which was 300 miles for $25. It’s so expensive and ridiculous

      My Nissan Maxima cost about $62 to fill up which gives me about 250 miles. 300 miles for $25 is dirt cheap

      @@riseupreese yes but yours is a v6 my dad fills his civic up for $30 and get 350ish miles. People think electric cars are cheap to charge but in reality they aren’t. If you charge at home then yes it is cheap. I don’t live down south. If you do then you can charge a Tesla at home for $5-$7. I live in CT and to charge my Tesla at home it is $14 I still think it’s expensive.

    Can you charge to 100% or only 80% at those charger stations?

      You can charge to 100% but it takes that much longer.
      For instance, 20-80% is like 20 min
      20-100% is like 1 hour

    So if you drive a 50 mpg diesel car that does 400 450 miles per tank. You pay the same and do not waste any time... and car cost 50% of a tesla

    Yeah I'll spend the extra $40 for gas and have a 450 mile range in 3 minutes. Electric cars are amazing for city driving but long to mid distance, gas everytime. The tech will get there some day.

      but 80% of the US commute a total of 80 miles a day. charge at home.. never have to worry about charging at a station. that's what it's geared towards. not necessarily long road trips.

      @@albertalmaguer7362 the Hyundai Sonata 2021 Hybrid price is approx 28k usd, it has a maximum range of 686 miles combined of gas and electric. Its fuel tank capacity is 13.2 gallon. Gas price recently in US is 3.8$ per gallon. 3.8 times 13.2 is 50.16$, spend 50$ for 686 miles is much worth than tesla tbh. And the car is cheaper as well. Tesla model 3 is around 45k, that’s expensive as.

    Spend 30 mins at a super charger and $20 to get about 200 miles of driving? No thanks. Spend 3 mins at a gas pump. Spend $37 and to fill my 15 gallon tank up and go 550 miles and stop at any gas station along the way.

      I spend almost $100 a week filling up only one of my tanks in my truck I honestly cant wait to get my long range tesla soon these numbers dont scare me at all

    I rather keep my gas powered car, think about it right now no many Californians have electric cars and charging could be a mess what happens when the majority have electric cars and there’s rolling blackouts. No Thanks
