    Guys. We're going to find out if it's any good tonight! My mate runs a takeaway and was struggling for a driver... So u0 comes me and the DS3! So far so good and averaging 56mpg!

    If it's been to mechanics why is service still on, decent garages no longer do forced regens because it can knacker the dpf up, they normally use dpf cleaner through the differential pressure sensor tube. good dpf should be max 10 millibar on idle and 50-60 millibar at 3000rpm

      Video was before mechanic did forced regeneration. I just did it on the motorway. Mechanic has given it the all clear, I'm not carrying out an extended road test make sure it's not going to be a problem for anyone

      @AnthonyS-z5k DPF full I would imagine. Give it run out on motorway with revs over 3k rpm and watch the soot come out the back. Hopefully clears. It fixed this

    That's the most unlooked after car ever ,I bet it's never been serviced since current owner bought it on finance 3 years ago ,dirty, scratched dinged and all the wheels ragged. Crap manufacturer and a bad example.Its a future head ache if I've ever seen one. Good luck.

      I'll agree to disagree, I've seen much less presentable ones. Not everyone will keep a 12 year old car to showroom standard. It runs and drives well, does the job. Thumbs up off my mechanic so I'm happy to put it up and think it will be a good runabout for someone for 1750 or so

    Did you fix the boost leak but as that is why the dpf will have clogged up

      Yes had a turbo at some point and the clamp wasn't seated very well. All sorted now, a forced DPF Regen for good measure, service and 1 tyre drives as good as new. Done about 30 miles in it last night. Will have another drive out tonight before cleaning it up and putting it up for sale on the weekend

      I see. Just check the dpf pressure in milibars at idle and at 3k revs using ur scan tool. will help you to know if it needs a proper clean otherwise fault will come back again@@FlippinMotorsUK

      @mohitl1697 I used to be but have damage to my back. I know bits but don't have the tools now. Always handy having a £20 code scanner about. Thanks

      Have you ever drove one? I think these are so much different to other soggy Citroens and love the torquey DV6 diesel engine

    There French, french cars are pure Rubbish.

    • @FlippinMotorsUK
      @FlippinMotorsUK  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They make a lot of terrible cars but these DS3 were always a nice motor, well built for a French car and these earlier DV6 diesel engines without the ad blue etc were great!
