Junk's trap is also very powerful. You do have to be smart (and consistent) with the positioning but it can stall tanks and guarantee kills on squishys

one of my favourite techniques is playing the nuisance as Tracer, absolute rattle the enemy and keep their attention on you. Only really works if you can master self preservation though.
Sad to not see 76 listed as a flanker.. guess sprinting straight for the back line isn’t the way to play. Who knew? 😂

I’ve found that I much prefer projectile characters like Hanzo and junk rat to hitscan, which gets really annoying when the enemy team goes pharah and your whole team starts asking for you to swap, so I spent 5 hours learning how to kill pharahs using junkrat. Point being, you should never feel the need to swap characters just to counter another character, you only need to find special ways to play the character you’re already good

Sym's teleporter needs a 6 sec CD or gets removed for another offensive ability. some kind of AOE light explosion that knocks people back and does damage.
yeah... right now is somewhat useless... too easy to destroy, it takes some time to deploy it correctly. B4 I used to help my teammates to get faster into the objective or to flank in Hanamura, volskaya... but now...

I love sombra. She can completely destroy an enemy teams plans and coordination.
She’s a cheesey character though I wouldn’t rely on her too much cause she will definitely catch a fat nerf soon
I honestly don't think -Hanzo and- Ashe should be considered anchors, as they simply don't have enough sustain to be able to wear down tank shields like the other anchors can.
In fact, l'd go so far as to say that Ashe doesn't even meet the sniper requirements, as her burst capability sharply falls off a cliff once you're even remotely past mid range.
ashe's falloff starts at 30m, 50% higher than cass or 76. thats a lot more range. not to mention she gets a zoom in, with pin point hitscan accuracy. its not a traditional sniper sure, but shes long range. and fyi, ashe is only about 10 less dmg per second than sojorn, hanzo literally does more dps to shields than cassidy... not so sure what ur on about. there isnt much shields to shoot anyway...

Hanzo's Storm Arrows deal a total of 325 damage every 11,2 seconds, while Cree's Fan The Hammer deals a total of 300 damage every 2,2 seconds -- even when not accounting for reload/cooldown, Fan The Hammer still wins at 390 dps over Storm Arrows' 240 dps. Clearly you're not very smart if you think Hanzo wins this just because the wiki doesn't state the dps for Fan The Hammer.
30m damage falloff isn't good at all for a sniper when so many sightlines go past that range, and when her maximum damage is 150 to begin with, needing 2/3+ headshots in a row at that range just to actually kill non-tanks is terribad by sniper standards. Also FYI, Cree also has pinpoint hitscan accuracy while also having a better kit for 1v1ing, and Sojourn's M1 spam damage is not what makes her so stupid strong, it's literally everything else about her.
The only saving grace for Ashe is that her higher scoped dps compared to Widow's means she can technically burst down a tank more quickly for a sniper; too bad she sucks just as much as Widow when it comes to shields.
@@Brown95P ur comparing the dps of a weapon, to an ability? wow.. not sure if i can even reason with u now. if ur spamming fan ur not a good cree player at all. i compared primary dps, not taking abilities into account since their use case will vary. ur also talking as if the game is still barrierwatch, which, it isnt. an anchor atm just needs to be able to do good dmg to all enemies, not just a tank or barrier. i didnt say hanzo wins this lmao. but u said they have to little dmg, which isnt correct. when u take into account like for example that hanzo can charge, peek, charge etc he ends up with more dps on said barrier than a 76 would, since odds are 76 isnt allowed to unload his entire mag for free without being shot at. i also just said ashe fits into the category of snipers, not that she is a good one. shes long range, u could also cal that sniper category "long range" if u rly want. since hanzo isnt rly a sniper either. he has range yes, but not consistent. hanzo is actually more of a midrange, he just has no drop of. same as pharah really, has range but isnt a sniper at base. at that point heck even zen could fit there. the 30m ashe has matters because of who she fights. other heroes simply cant fight as well at that range, its not about how far ur range is, its how its compared to others.

Oh, you were talking about Hanzo's Storm Bow? Cause that's even worse than Storm Arrows at a flat 100 dps, lmao.
And yes, barriers aren't as prevalent now but they're still just as annoying, especially for snipers whose bulk of their damage potential lies in their headshot multipliers, which obviously don't apply to barriers -- and if you think taking an off-angle as one is a good idea then I've got a Genji/Sombra to sell you, which are everywhere nowadays. Also, all tanks except Roadhog, JunkQueen and maybe Doomfist have ways to deny headshots, so an ideal anchor would have to have good enough dps regardless of whether they can headshot the tank or not.
The problem with Ashe is that her effective range is where many other heroes' are at, so unlike Widow who can reasonably take a 1v1 against s76 and the like at long range cause the latter's damage falls off hard at that range, Ashe doesn't have such luxury because of her own damage falloff, and while her kit is better than Widow's, it's not good enough to justify the fact you'll be taking more damage; this is why I'm advocating that her ADS gets buffed so that it has no damage falloff, as she already can't one shot most squishies to begin with and her mobility tool is still on a lengthy cooldown like Widow's.
@@Brown95P that 100 dps is still more than sojorns primary. its more than cree dps (without rolls) and is 11 under 76. so his dmg really isnt that low lmao. and u think sojorn is a sniper but ashe isnt? let me ask u, whos got more consistent long range dps, ashe or sojorn? its ashe. idk why ur so stuck on barriers. less than half of the tanks have them. infact, only 3. that makes 30% of tanks. and 2 of them can choose when to have their barrier out, meaning consistent dps (the one ur probs used to from ow) isnt the only and single best way to deal with shields. u can get many off angles too, and i know u can play genji sombra, but if u do, u will put urself in there. that might not be smart depending on enemy comp. no idea why ur talking about headshots on tanks, that applies to all heroes...

As a long-time TF2 player, when I bought Overwatch I immediately gravitated toward Junkrat since he's so similar to Demoman. I used to play a lot of Soldier 76 as well, but after they gave him that annoying recoil I use him a lot less. I'm trying to improve as Widow but it's slow going, I've always been bad at precise hitscans and my reflexes aren't the best. Not very good at Echo yet but she's a ton of fun. Been a tank main for over a year now though, and oddly enough I find it a lot less stressful than playing DPS.
Still don't think Sym should be a DPS.

they are. they said they are looking to close the gap. so, first year will be mostly tank and supps. but then again, doesnt make sense to make lots of new tanks when only 1 person can play it... happy to see a few more tho. and love if we could get way more supps. mix it up a bit cus its a bit repetetive

@@Cryoptic_ I think that's entirely irrelevant. In fact I'd argue that Mei has the survivability and endurance of a tank, so to call her a secondary tank is fair, but also you're taking this way too seriously, no one's going to youtube comments for life changing overwatch advice
@@flakshrapnel8849 if anything the comment isnt for others, but for OP. if they didnt know then, now they do. yes mei is the tankiest of the dps heroes, but shes nowhere near as tanky as an actual tank. to call her a tank just isnt correct.
My ultimate tip is if a healer is healing you kill who’s killing the healer instead of missing all your shots feeling happy you have heals on you.
