Thank you so much for making this video. The directions in the box weren't very clear. I loved how this video showed every detail and also got right to the point. Once I watched this I was able to pop my shaker motor right in. Well done!

Same here, THANKS YOU for making this video!!! I have no patience for 'instructions' and a video is dramatically more effective. I hope I can just play & play.....not familiar with getting all into settings mode but I'm sure there's a video for that as well. Kinda want to bump the balls up to 5 instead of OEM 3. Actually, I have a great question for you: the rear legs on both my machines keep the game about 5 inches away from the wall and I'd like to push the games closer to the wall: are there rear legs that can be bought that don't slant backwards OR can I modify my legs (cut & weld)? I'm figuring the game needs a degree of wobble in order to induce some tilt when needed otherwise I'd just remove the legs and perch the game on a stout shelf along the wall, hope that makes sense, thanks

Great video, it would be great if you also did one with the optional tilt capacitor installation.

Thank you for the feedback, we have yet to install a shaker motor into a machine that would use the capacitor. Newer games do not require the capacitor, as it is already built into the node board. The provided Stern instructions will include a picture of the Node board to help identify if a capacitor is needed.

I know they say to place it on the left but wouldn’t centered, in front of the speaker be better?

I am sure you can mount its where ever you like. We simply use the manufacturer's recommended location. Since we do not produce the item, you may want to contact the manufacturer, Stern Pinball and share your recommendations and the reasons you believe a different location to better.

🙋‍♂️ Where in the settings do you find the shaker motor settings?

    • @Pinballprospeakers

In the settings menu you go to "adjustments" and the to "feature adjustments" and scroll until you find "shaker Motor" in the case of Foo Fighters it is feature adjustment #6 through this may vary. Here you can set level of usage. It comes preset from the factory to be enabled. So after installing the shaker it should just start working.

@@Pinballprospeakers THANK YOU!! Mine’s in a JPP and I gotta lower it or my glass is gonna explode (my electric tape fix is on the to-do list). 🙏👍

@@Mo_Ketchups You might have resolved, but we now have a limiter board to reduce the shake a bit pinballpro.net/shop/stern-shaker-motor-limiter-board-assembly-spike-sam-and-whitestar/

Why is there no notch for the wire in the casing?

    • @Pinballprospeakers

We do not manufacture the product, so this may be a good question for the manufacturers. Nearly all pinball companies have a shaker motor offering and I am not aware of a notch in the casing. I would recommend the use of a file to make one if you feel it would be better for your machine. Keeping in mind the manufacturers probably do not recommend modifications.
