Using carburetor cleaner to clean the cover on the inside and out. 6. And using sockets to aid in the installation of the rubber seals and grommets. I'm always willing to do my own repairs, but I have often lacked the knowledge. Your video has provided me with the skills I need to do this repair myself. For that, I can't thank you enough. What I like about this video is you filmed and included the minor difficulties that a person might encounter when replacing the valve cover gasket (bolt grommets and spark plug gasket). This video goes into the details and properly informing the viewer of what obstacles they might come across,.......well done!

Great vid, I’ve been planning on replacing the valve cover gasket on my Accord and had no idea that I had to change the tube seals and grommets as well. You saved me a lot of time and a lot of headaches, thanks!

Why the front edge gasket is brittle?: because it is closest to the exhaust manifold. More heat than from the intake side

Just done this on an 05 Acura RL. But it was the v6 3.5.......
That v6 is not so much fun, well it wasn't for the odyssey we did!
