This was my first synth also, definitely a gateway drug into owning a lot more synths. I never got into got deep into learning sound design with it, but it started the fire, microbrute was my 2nd and where I learned the basics, now 10 years later I'm at the semi modular phase of synth addiction. I still pick up the Microkorg and use it for simple leads/basses whiles jamming. It will always have a special place in my heart.
This is a awesome synth, it’s quite difficult to learn how to make your own patches at first but it’s definitely worth the effort, for some reason I just can’t use other people’s patches, even if I tweak them it just isn’t the same, shame I’m shit at playing the keyboard though 😂
I use to be pretty bad at playing keyboard and focused on sound design only. I took a few months to really learn how to play and I feel like I cheated myself all those years of not trying. It's totally worth it and you'll feel so damn happy. But I recommend learning on anything BUT the microkorg. Learning on tiny keys like that will screw you up for life when trying to play actual sized keys, hahah
@@BasementArcade I get what you are saying about small keys, I might just use my midi board with it, can’t stop hitting the key next to the one I’m aiming for 😂
