Sold my PSA 10 blue ink in February earlier this year for $1500 after it was no longer the only PSA 10 out there. Also after the former Metazoo had died. Probably should have kept it?
I think you did good selling it. I've been reading a lot of comments and a lot of people are getting their hopes up with the og MZ product speculation. But I believe that hype will die down once the 1st MZ2 set actually releases. There's a lot of concerns about the original product, like: the Chinese factory printing (so possible future unauthorized re-printing), not knowing exact numbers of certain sets/cards (i.e. how many Blue Inks were there really since they weren't serialized), and the fact that the prior MZ team members still probably have product (Andy, Mike and ppl like Bailey I'm sure all still have stuff)... all this will most likely lead any newer MZ2 fans to be hesitant to go back and want to buy this original product. The best older stuff to get has to be Topps Chrome. It was arguably one of the most popular releases and what most MZ fans would rank a top 3, can't be re-printed, the prices of certain of the chrome product never really dipped after the bankruptcy (i.e. blaster boxes, mothman hits), and there's a niche out there that just collects Topps sets no matter what they are. It's gonna be a big enough task for MZ2 to even get new fans to buy and open the new set release. Even if they buy it then there's the next step of hoping that enjoy it. If they enjoy it, then what's not saying they will just stock up on the FIRST MZ2 set and consider that the real first set... so there's just a lot of hurdles for the OG cards to overcome. Whatever prices rise to from now until MZ2 releases I don't see rising much afterwards, they will most likely stabilize at that point, and that assumes MZ2 doesn't completely botch (I am hopeful it won't though).
@@RichieL1991 Yeah, true that. I feel that too. I thought about the chinese printer problem. Happy to say I have a sealed case of Topps Chrome hobby boxes. That was one of the most fun to open. Really the blasters but it is what it is. Can't for for more news either way!
Awesome for record keeping!
They look awesome together side by side
I liked the inks but were never crazy about them. I give the red the edge

Hard to say. Definitely got good value either way.
