11:45 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA OMG, AMAZING reaction there Lottie, I was so all over the place when Lewis went past both of them i was delighted, and Crofty's commentary on that same second yelling "THROUGH GOES HAMILTON" absolutely Golden! My favourite moment of the race right there, so iconic! I hope you enjoyed it, I certainly did, it was so so good, I very much like Ferrari, but Mercedes is my favourite and I love Lewis, George and the whole Merc team! BIG Congratulations to Carlos, very well deserved 1st victory, its been a long time coming! ❤️🏎🚀👍💪🙌🖤💜💙🤍 PS: and its nice to see you smiling after that race 😁 beautiful! 😍
I think it'll be a classic, that was probably the most exciting race I've seen in the time I've been watching F1 actively. Sainz getting the win sent me into a state of euphoria It's a shame Zhou couldn't do anything with his best qualifying result but when the crowd found out he was okay, I felt that intensely (also glad Albon was okay!) Excellent cleverness with Ocon and Tsunoda getting their race back going after the damage, and Russell trying to do the same was actually kinda funny (although its a shame his top five streak ended) That was one of the best performances of Perez's entire career; not only recovering after the collision but getting a net gain of positions was stellar Schumacher going from 19th to 8th and getting those points was amazing (and chuffed for K-Mag too) I wish Latifi could have gotten a point or two but I'm still happy to see him have a good, clean race Ferrari seem to be not good at strategy (a bit of an understatement) and I think Sainz only won by making his own strategy calls, and Leclerc needs to do the same I think Until the car died, Ocon was having a typical Ocon race, in that he kept his nose clean and got into the points; once again he is way underrated I'm chuffed for Lewis getting on the podium Normally I don't have this much to say about a race but it was exceptional
That was one heck of a crazy race in the end, glad nobody got seriously injured, there will be some sore muscles tomorrow tho. When Max slowed down, i hoped for a Sainz win and a Perez second, and Lewis on 3 was a bonus for sure. Ty for the video Lottie :)
No f1 weekend without your reactions. They are always great. The crash at the start made my stomache turn around. This race was spectacular. If theres one negative id probably point out Ferraris strategy. In the end im happy sainz won. ✌🏻 #vamos#smoothoperator
I don’t quite understand why Russell wasn’t penalised for causing that collision. I know defending off the start line isn’t illegal, but he was the one to move across into Gasly’s line. It doesn’t really matter seeing as his car wouldn’t restart anyway, but in my opinion, drivers shouldn’t be allowed to get away with what he did, and he showed exactly why it’s so dangerous to change your line after a slow start. Maybe F1 views these things differently, but in Supercars, slow starters are expected to drive in a straight line so the other drivers can react in time and not cause an accident. This isn’t the first time it’s happened either, Romain Grosjean’s crash in 2020 was also caused by a very similar maneuver, albeit a few corners into the race. Also, how many serious incidents are we going to have in the Junior Formulae before the FIA stop using sausage kerbs? It’s ridiculous at this point. Alex Peroni, Sean Gelael, and now Dennis Hauger and Roy Nissany, have all had huge airborne crashes caused by sausage kerbs, just in the last few years alone. What sign are they waiting for? They should have been banned years ago. For all the talk of how safe the sport is these days, we witnessed two major issues this weekend. But, I don’t want to be all negative, so I’ll finish off by saying I’m really happy for Carlos, he drove a great race and fully deserves the win, and that battle between Perez, Leclerc and Hamilton was just insane. I was criticising Leclerc for not picking his battles, but he held on a lot longer than I expected, so fair play to him. Overall it was a great race once it got started, I just wish it didn’t finish at 2am in Australia.
Jesus Christ what a race but the Verstappen cheering is just disgusting from the british fans but other than that what a race that crash at the start but Mick Schumacher wow! Gutted for Charles
Yeah, it was very odd hearing people cheer Ocon etc when they passed Verstappen. I never understand the jeering, you don't have to be a fan of Verstappen to recognise he is a brilliant driver. No one on the grid deserves that disrespect.
Zhou got saved by the Halo, that crash was just plain horror. So happy to see Carlos and Checo in podium... and hey Lewis just HAD to make it on the home race!
Ferrari hasn't stopped seizing to amaze me, what an absolute B-tier strategy team. It's like they hired Gattuso from football. "Sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit".
@@LottieTalksF1 dunno how long you've been watching f1, but in the 90's my dad told me of this unwritten rule in F1. That you don't go to Ferrari to start your career, you go there to end it. That used to be because Ferrari had such high prestige that you had to show you were capable to operate the red horse. The last decade of Ferrari has been true to that. All the young guns that went to Ferrari failed. Alonso, Vettel and now Charles and Carlos. Barrichello, Massa and Schumacher were the last correct driver age. 😂
Oh man when you said youre gonna make a reaction video, you have no idea youre gonna make the most reactive video isnt it? This is the most drama of a gp in recent years. Holy shit i still have goosebumps!
Eventful and exciting races like this make for great reaction videos. Of course great for Sainz to win his first race in F1, even though ironically, he has his team's poor strategy to thank for it. Verstappen would surely have won if it wasn't for the damage to his floor, but he did great damage control with Le Clerc gaining only 6 points on him, again, helped by Ferrari's poor strategy. Good result for Hamilton, great battle with Le Clerc and Perez there at the end, when he passed both of them it looked like a win for him might be possible, but Perez was just so much faster, absolutely amazing how he finished second from last place and got near to Sainz. A shame Russel was unable to rejoin after the red flag, otherwise the race would have been even more exciting.
Whilst it was very controversial when it was first introduced, I think we can all agree that the halo was one of the best decisions for safety the FIA has ever made. Glad Zhou is okay.
@@LottieTalksF1 On fresher Tyres it was a no brainer but felt sorry for Leclerc we nearly throw it away again though before the Safety Car allowing Hamilton into play

Feel like I aged a decade after watching that race! Ferrari definitely need to look at their strategy though.
