Picking out a title/name of a place/name of a character is the hardest part of writing. I was in the first draft creating a language from scratch and still had no names for any of the major places and like half of the characters

I got lucky with my names of characters and book title 😭 my character names all either have to start with a certain letter or have to stay One, Ace, and Jack (based off cards), and because the entire idea for the book started off with the phrase "the holy one!" thats the title of my book
(For context, I was playing a card game and we needed a one so I said "the holy one" when we finally got it and the entire idea started there)

Not having your characters deal with traumas the same is so so true.
I’m currently trying to write a book, and the main group is the family of six; 16 yr old twins, one an ADHD girl very similar to her mother and one a dyslexic boy, a 14 year old deaf girl and a 10 yr old partially deaf girl
Early on their mother dies, and I’m glad that subconsciously I gave them different reactions.
The boy, Johnathan, dealt with the grief in a sort of shocked manner. He sat in her seat, picking up scraps of paper and keeping himself busy, trying to process the loss of his mother and the filling of her shoes someone needed to step into.
The twin girl, Kaylie, masked her grief so she could keep going, being in a sort of denial because they were still in a crisis and they needed to keep moving but she was completely heartbroken and refused to admit the one person that truly honestly knew her, her biggest role model, was gone for good.
The 14-year-old Kara actually was moving on. She missed her mother dearly but it only filed her drive to keep her family and little sister safe. She pushed it down and kept moving, only trike coming to terms after the crisis was over.
The youngest, Lucy, cried and cried and cried and wanted her mother and wanted her family to be safe and at home again. She’s a smart girl though, and looks to Kara for guidance, and seeing her older sister keep going, she does her best to press forward too.
It says a lot about the character to see how they’ll react. Think about it; I didn’t even know I knew this important concept until it was said to me; they already had that personality.

I will bust out a chapter every two days for months and then get into writers block and not type for a month (I haven’t typed in about 3 weeks but I’m 3 1/2 chapters away from finishing my 5th book!)

Ok so for the trauma one at 3:16, would that first statement be blocked out if a character believed that what they went through (abvsibe and/or closed door relationships) was perfectly normal and natural , while everyone else disagrees whenever they bring it up.
