Damn! My first time with Amatsu quest took 40min
I really enjoy seen all those attacks connect
It took like 3-4 tries with randoms to finish my first one lol
How on earth was like this for you guys? My first time took like 14 mins with a single cart because wanted to see how much damage the electric move that covers the entire arena did, turned out to be an almost one shot move which can be tanked timing healings and when I jumped in with randoms the second and third time we did it in 9-10 mins.
I was with a tanky sup HH build to take more hits to see how It behave. I guess 30min of that Quest I was rolling on the ground hahaha
@@Persebr That makes sense I would recommend for checking patterns getting a healer cat with bats and a fighter one with rousing and power drum and eating for dango diver, defender and recovery and of course eating a gourmet fish.
That way all you need is stun resistance, some defence (1k works fine), defiance, intrepid heart and powder mantle that way you can consistently deal decent damage even if you get hit while also being able to relentlessly hit the monster without carting, that's what I do and never go past 19 mins.
Did it in solo gunlance took me almost 40 mins too, I think I can do better with some parangons.
No tail cut tho, my disappointment is immeasurable.

what is a tail cut? never seen TDS do one.
yall are my heros tbh, my first game was World and i went back to play freedom unite for a bit (still havent finished yet but getting there) along with now Rise and Generations Ultimate, you're all highly skilled players and i respect the craft! much love!
If you liked those games try to get your hands on portable third its also a good one. But it makes more sense if youre not alone with it
If you haven’t played MH4U or Gen I would do that the online is still up lol for now 🙁
While I replayed the Amatsu quest with Followers a bunch of times just for fun, the main build I grind Amatsu for was its Insect Glaive build.

The best part about amatsu is that my boy zinogre got the coolest turf war ever and finally got his revenge as well
I’m completely fine hearing that banger theme over and over again! I’m tired of people saying it’s to easy when Amatsu is a future proof end boss as you COULD fight it straight away but SHOULD you is its example! At this point we have extremely powerful weapons and builds so of course he feels easy but that doesn’t equate to it IS easy. For my first encounter with a legendary monster it was MAGNIFICENT and EXHILARATING!
I mean… compared to World Fatalis Amatsu is a pushover. Same situation in both games so you cant say its the builds.
@@Carlisho tbf IB Fatalis is also a pushover compared to alot of other things in the franchise, he wouldn't make top 20 in terms of difficulty

@@Rageouz idk with the amount of ppl crying over his difficulty he deffs top 5 before you have his gear, also the fact that flaming espinas has a one shot yet amatsu doesnt and that was before i upgraded my armor to tu5 level is a bit sad, gorgeous fight but it was way too easy to be the last new monster hell even risen valstrax and new shagura was harder, really hope they make a AT equivalent one or just buff his damage and life a bit

Fatalis or Amatsu? cause normal Amatsu isn't even top 5 in Sunbreak cause the special investigations Risen Elders are absolutely insane like that shit can be harder than Fatalis sometimes. Flaming's isnt even a one shot it just does a shit ton of damage I can walk into his quest and tank it, Amatsu has a one shot it just does insane DOT damage thats like calling Fatalis' super not a one shot cause it does DOT. there's gonna be a hazard Amatsu in the bonus update along with a Hazard Malzeno Variant, the other 2 lords and Zinogre

Alatreon's azure dragonsphire still haunts me to this day, i remember spending 5 days straight hunting alatreon around 200 hunts with a success rate of 1 out of 5. I remember watching my cousin get two from the kill and the rewards while i got none.
I hunted alatreon so many times that i basically know what he was going to do. I was just so fed up with hunting him, and to add salt to injury when i didn't need one, they dropped... they gave me 2 dragonsphire twice out of the 3 successful hunts i did
Yooo i was the same with azure rathalos lmao i hunted it to the point I'll be able to know what it will do based on how many seconds it take to move after it screams

Just did my first hunt of this guy in a year inly fought him a few times before,and for some reason i decided to use switchaxe which was my main in world but i was terrible with in rise,and it was a amazing fight with switchaxe,ive got my swagaxe back!

took me 4 attempts until i can defeat it. after that I have nearly memorized its movement to muscle memory
used un-upgraded archdemon set and archdemon insect glaive to farm it, still lengthy considering it takes me 30 mins to kill
2:36 its possible to survive that attack just have to heal fast

I got the Rare drop after the first time defeating Amatsu.
I've killed 17 Amatsu so far and still no gem...
My rare drop rng hasn't been this bad since I was farming Brachy palliums in 3U where it took like 30 kills to get one. Normally Rise is really generous to me, I have dozens of some monsters' gems, but Amatsu absolutely refuses to let me have his.
I got lucky with three gems from a single clear haha. I broke all the parts so either that or i was very lucky.
@@stephenjohn2131 That's definitely really lucky. I always break everything, including the tail cut for the two extra carves and the three shiny drops from the wyvern ride, but still no luck.
