- It’s been a soggy old summer with July featuring what feels like a never-ending conveyor belt of rain and cloud.
So is that it? Is summer over? And what’s behind all this dreary, wet weather?

Global raining
Ask Nasa and politicians who support the HAARP project
We’ve never had rain in the ‘summer’ before! 😂😂😂
Rain and England? Thats unusual)
Funny enough i remember it used to rain a lot more, not a climate hippy but I grew up in the uk in the 90s and I definitely remember a lot more rain but I just put it down to patterns in the decades
We are boiling in our own sweat due to global warming 😂😂
Its not climate change its just british weather
Its always rained when it wants, this is the UK.
Ive never known it this bad though
They moan when it's too hot last summer now there moaning it's too wet and cold, can't win
Gimme some 18-22 degree clear sky summer
@@caffeineisking8132Move to Northern California for that type of weather.
It's not just seasonal weather!
The average ocean temperature has beat seasonal records since April of this year.
While a proper summer would be much better, I'd much rather this than the 40°C+ and droughts that some countries are getting.
Just be quiet
Totally agree.
Its our annual monsoon season, been raining where I live for 4 weeks now and all the long range weather forcasts say it will continue for the next 2 weeks. Nice to have the news acknowledge this for once!
Give me a rainy british summer anytime than a suffocating arid burning one like it's happening in the mediterranean countries.
I prefer this weather than 30+c
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marine_cloud_brightening
Me too. It's lovely
so dooo i 🤩
Nah no way I gotta get out this country
who puts a tent up to sit down a beach pising down with rain
Chemtrail Summer nothing new
It's perfect here in Calif.!
Not gonna lie I’m enjoying these temperatures more than last year
I blame 'gLobAL bOiLiNg' 🙄
We are complaining there is no sun but I know what we will be complaining about If we get 35 degrees.
Theres a lot of middle ground though isnt there? Its not like the only options are; raining OR 35c. This summer has been absolute bollox and its becoming obvious that the 'global warming' lie is exactly that, a lie.
In USA its hot. Others too cold. Global consiracy
I'm not complaining. I'm absolutely loving this summer. It's perfect
Perfect for what
I've known plenty of wet summers, then just when i had to go back to school - out came the sun. Lol!
Pretty bad on Portland Dorset at the moment. Has been much worse though at times.
Need to look into cloud seeding & geo-engineering..
Nothing happened. It's britain. It's always like this. It's still pretty warm though. It's not like it's freezing. Don't need heating on at all. Rain is nice.
I don't recall a July like this.
@@Paul-eb4jp maybe not quite as wet but we usually have moderate rain year round anyway. The main difference is that it usually isn't warm like it currently is, while having lots of rain.
@@grenvallion My granddaughter's birthday is in July and we always have a garden party to celebrate, it's usually a lovely time of year.
@@grenvallion So its not always likr this then?
What? Since when have we had a summer where it has rained for about 50 days in a row in the west? I haven't seen the sun since June 20th....
Global Boiling innit!
Where is the Global Warming title?
It's called climate change.
Only when it suits them.
it's all to do with the jet stream
When is someone going to say to what extent this has fixed last years drought problems, and compare us to the dust bowl Europe is turning into, and say its a blessing in disguise?
Or just utterly normal dynamic British weather.
I'd also assert that to regard Europe as a dust bowl is pure hyperbole.
@@tastypymp1287 straw man, said turning into
youve been brainwashed. most of the fires in greece are lit intentionally by humans. also most of the countries are either colder than normal or just normal. its only spain and greece that are "unsually hot" - so if those 2 countries constitute europe, yes sure europe is a dust bowl.
Weather manipulation
Try a day in Phoenix with 120 degrees, cacti fainting, and people who pass out from the heat have burns on their skin from exposure to the pavement. Oh well.
imagine it here in the UK where Air conditioning is not a legal requirement for homes
First world problems. Get over yourself
I'm an electrician and have been putting in supplies for aircon on the richer people's homes this year as they don't want a replay of last years 40 degrees. Made their big expensive houses look so ugly though with all the heavy cables and aircon units on the outside.
it’s britain. why have any expectations?
Haarp
Always has been unpredictable. Wish the media would stop the narrative of blaming ‘climate change’
Normal for British Weather,
That’s whats I was thinking. Flash flooding everywhere. Weather manipulation I think
HAARP
Baking in my garden in east sussex today nice sunbathe 😅
It's just a normal summer.
It's pretty cool for summer. Nice, though
@@winstoningram99No, it's normal dynamic British climate.
@@tastypymp1287 It's usually really clammy in my area through July. This is more like Edinburgh weather. And I love it
ĺol its flooded 👍
@@yesok5774 Yes, normal summer.
What sort of ridiculous article is this?
We've all of a sudden conveniently forgotten el nino exists.
UK the cursed lands... No wonder we live like this 😩. There is always something going on
2024 can we have last year's weather plz 😂😂😂😂
The heatwave last year lasted just a few days, not the whole summer. This summer is just like any other summer in the last 62 years of my life.
More bs news from Sky.
No its not, stop lying. Ive never known a summer this bad, its been cloudy and rained every single day for weeks now.
(Written in June 2024); Yep, we did get a summer. Two weeks in September...
And fast forward to June 2024; Absolutely no sign of us having a proper summer this year either...
In Northern Ireland atleast I think July and August are now our wettest months of the year. While May and June are our driest months.
Geo engineering
The same in sweden
"we couldn't get boats in the water due to flooding"! 😂😅😂🤣😂😅🇬🇧
We couldn't open the beach due to the sunny weather.
🙄😂😂
Knew they would somehow manage to blame 'climate change' ...was not disappointed.
Literally j came inside from working out outside bcuz an impromptu hurricane decided to spawn
gee i wonder what happened to the weather
Cold summer when it suppose to be so hot. It's #ClimateScam
www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/climate-change/effects-of-climate-change
Is this an actual question?
I blame it on Nigel Mirage 😊
Climate change making the UK weather unpredictable? Unseasonably damp summer? When has the UK weather been anything but unpredictable? Damp summers are quite normal. Do these reporters actually do any research before spouting nonsense at us?
“A yeeeeeear after”.. Complete bollocks!
NO!
JET STREAM
It's global boiling 😂
Great report LBC Rachel , amazing journalistic talent🤣
Marine Cloud Brightening. There’s your answer.
Eat the bugs to change the weather.
My comment has been deleted by Sky News 3 times in a row! My comment, that explains this exact weather and contained not one indecent word!
I wondered why all the disciples of GrEtA had disappeared.
It’s because we’ve entered the Era of Global Boiling.
Weather Engineering , research it .
Tin foil hat. Take it off.
@@NoWindNoSunNoPowerwhat’s ‘tinfoil hat’ about either comment?
Brits are crying now because there’s no more sun coming 😂😭cope.
Shait😂
Interesting that the BBC and others lead with a story of hottest temp for 120,000 years, it’s because they know during the Eemian interglacial ( the last one before the Holocene which is ours) the temperature was higher. Imagine that higher temperatures without co2 or human/industrial emissions. Maybe this warming like back then could be natural.
Source please or bullshit.
@@PokeFawzi the UN IPCC in all of their reports admit this fact.
I love the rain, it's so refreshing. hope it continues all summer long
I thought I was weird for that
very selfish. so many tourist experiences rely on good weather, so this might kill them.
I know a guy who this year bought shares in walls and suncream, 1000 quid and he lost 850. He won't come out anymore to save face
😅😅😅😅
i love it 🤩
climate collapse
Most humans are evil and ungrateful mother nature the only one that makes the rain fall is not going to cater to evil people water is life thankyou mother nature I am grateful many around the world wish if they had enough water but dont
If we have pretty news weather lady's we need pretty weather
All the Good lookin people are all on holiday in tropical destinations white sandy beaches drinking cocktails
No such things as good lookin British people
Global warming😅
Global warming at its finest 🤣🤣
SKY get some material, your quickly becoming irrelevant.....!?! What was this !?!? When so much is going on.....this!?! 🙄
More rain please
Because we live in the UK.
